Camera Lights
Little camera's
all around
the subtle spotlight
lifts you off the ground
Fully in the air
We're hardly prepared
to float away w/out care
Chorus
The stars all shine
for you
we couldn't reach
them in our youth
Fall away
into a dreamscape
with me
Battered and bruised
Never caught the balloon
watch over me
as I watch you
Swim in the milky
wondrous sky
watch the beautiful
Camera light's
all around
the subtle spotlight
lifts you off the ground
Fully in the air
We're hardly prepared
to float away w/out care
Chorus
The stars all shine
for you
we couldn't reach

Fall away

with me
Battered and bruised
Never caught the balloon

as I watch you

broke (en) hearts..
know from the first part
that another life
couldn't be the same
and how
can I think w/
you
pulling my heart in two
hold onto things in life thats true
I want to marry you
in the most crimson blue
fields
I know
tears,
tearing us apart
images kept close at heart
stainded glass depicting
childrens art
binding our energy from the start
roses,
I have picked for thee
w/ thoughts that you'll carry me
across the plain to endings' dreams

~The Kid~ Part 1
I was staring into the inside
of an infinite spiral
that lead to the center
and back to the top
where we last were...
The Kids 54' chevette barreled down
the highway
kicking up lines of dust in its path
he was a strange one
"his father was in the war, ya know"
cigarette butts lined the inside of the car
cheap whisky air freshner
The Kid slows down
to pick up a hitchhiker
a cool gentleman
khaki's and a leather jacket
his sunglasses useless in the desert heat
his pen a suggestion...

Andalusia
Now all of these things
things like diamond rings
that will shine in your eyes
like a soul, shimmering gold
I'd like to talk
but I've got to go
Just a matter of time
of things, don't you know
Chorus
If you can tell what is real
what stops you to feel?
These bricks in my path
could they (not) also appeal?
Are we all lost?
Where do we go?
where should we go?
It might take time to notice
the colours in her hair
that change the world
around her

~The Bridge~
I saw the bridge fall down
there was man on it
a beautiful sinner, ya
He crashed to his death
a rich man on his back
if only I knew him
so I could get his cash
Far from me
She falls endlessly
trailing back behind me
running the staircase 'round
Inside my own head
am I really dead
or have I just not woken up?
there was man on it

He crashed to his death

running the staircase 'round
Inside my own head

~The Mall Goth~
Sleep deeply in your rain
content w/ your sadness
your endless vat of despair
your as black as mid-daylight
as dark as an autumn morning
write your pretty(petty)
poems of death
Cut your wrists and bleed
bleed on your black ripped Chanel
Africa holds its dying
children in it's arms
A black mother is crying
One of my first poems, a tongue-not-so-in-cheek look at those wonderful trend followers we had in the 2000's, before the current hipster movement.

My First Poem
Slow Decay
the smell of her
rotting
her infinite sadness
retire to the night, children
tomorrow we feast
this is the oldest poem I still have,
the smell of her
rotting
her infinite sadness
retire to the night, children
tomorrow we feast
this is the oldest poem I still have,

~Subdued Thought~
Subdue thought.
No drugs
But have a drink
to mystify the mind
Manic confusion,
Fuzzy memories
Do I really think this way?
Am I who I think I am?
It's all so lost
"The party's over here!"
Oh, look, another distraction
And the mind is again at peace
No drugs
But have a drink
to mystify the mind
Manic confusion,
Fuzzy memories
Do I really think this way?
Am I who I think I am?
It's all so lost
"The party's over here!"
Oh, look, another distraction
And the mind is again at peace

If I could have your attention for a moment....
Here I am
next to you
Sitting at the edge of my seat
Here I am
what to do?
and I wonder who next I will meet
Not just here
For my friends
I'm here for you
So let me vent
next to you
Sitting at the edge of my seat
Here I am
what to do?
and I wonder who next I will meet
Not just here
For my friends
I'm here for you
So let me vent

Fragile Flower
All of the time, in the world
can be spent, love can't be kept in a fence
And in these final hours
when I stay up alone
love is a fragile flower
the like noone ever really knows
Your long slender legs,
invite me in
I could't help but let you win
Your kiss has left me apart
your voice comes from such a tender heart
But then you, fell apart
when you know I never meant no harm
Thing's in our past darken the flame
a scar is always left from the pain
Your hair and silver smile
Kept me...
can be spent, love can't be kept in a fence
And in these final hours
when I stay up alone
love is a fragile flower
the like noone ever really knows
Your long slender legs,

There is No God
This phrase does not haunt me
Rather, it liberates me
It frusterates me.
My intelligence may be limited and unremarkable compared
to the great thinkers of our era
Einstien
Sagan
Hawking
Hitchens
Dawkins
Darwin.... and yet what they have learned, at the culmination of their life,is something that makes crystal clear sense to me, unlike almost anything I've learned, and it is the simple truth, that the middle eastern (Islam,Judiasm, Christianity) idea/ideal of god is so illogical, fantastical, impossible, and depressing...
