LOVE POEM

Pretty Words & a Desperate Act
You smelled like grass and dirt,
A deep earthy scent.
I could feel the regret you were
Already exuding as you
Began the act filled with
Desperation.
The soil beneath us was
Damp with tears.
Yours, or my own?
I stared into the eyes
Of the moon
As its light beared down
Upon us.
When the desperation had left
You gazed at me and spoke.
You filled my heart
With pretty little words.
Words of sorrow and happiness,
Remorse and satisfaction,
Hate and love.
You smiled sadly and I closed my eyes,
Taking a mental picture...

IT
I have to get away
I can no longer fight
I've been running for so long
There's no end in sight
I'm not sure what IT is
But I know IT wants death
IT wants to see me take
My very last breath
All around me
Is a thick, dark haze
There is no map
For this twisted, black maze
I turn a corner
And face a wall
I give up
On my knees I fall
I hear IT approach me
From behind
I begin to fear
That I'm losing my mind
Because when I turn
So I can see
IT's just a mirror
And in it is me...
I can no longer fight
I've been running for so long

IT wants to see me take

When I was little
Everyone was good,
But as I get older
I realize I misunderstood.
I was happy,
I was safe,
My confidence was something
No one could faze.
But then the lights went out
And I was alone.
I was overlooked
And on my own.
There were too many hours
In a day.
The loneliness was a feeling
That refused to go away.
I'm still in the dark
But I can see the light.
I'll probably always
Continue this fight.
I've been made stronger
By laughter and love
Received from friends,

Dream
Climb in a boat
And sail far away,
Even if it's
Just for a day.
Go up a tree
And sit for a while,
Hope that someday
You'll learn to smile.
In this chaotic world
Full of depression,
You are left
With a cold expression.
So sit in your boat or in your tree
And slowly drift into a dream.
Give in to peace,
Calm and serene.
And sail far away,

I Love You (A.K.A. Sisters)
I've never had to go a day
Without knowing you.
Every chance I had
I stuck to you like glue.
Though hardly a day would pass
Without us starting to argue,
All that seemed to stop
As we gradually grew.
Somewhere along the way
You lost your virtue.
You may object
But you know it's true.
But no matter what happens
I'll always need you,
And through thick and thin
I'll always love you.
Without knowing you.

A Fairytale
If I had my way
I'd live in fairytale.
In a perfect life
I would always prevail.
No more sadness,
No more grief.
Happiness and laughter
Would be the motif.
There may sometimes be
Some small peril,
But good would always
Triumph over evil.
Possibilities,
They're infinite.
But I'm stuck here.
I can't even visit.

Falling
All the pressure,
All the stress.
People telling me
This isn't my best.
Work harder,
Be better.
In all of this
A word, I do not utter.
I can't keep this up,
I'm so overwhelmed.

What if I don't make it?
What if I fail?
Take a deep breath.

Unimportant and small.

A hand,
So soft, so warm.
I want nothing more
Than this sweet caress.
But it lifts up and goes to her.
You think she needs you more
But I am lost without you.
I need your guidance, your love.
I end up feeling

A Father's Absence
You were meant to love me,
To care about me,
To always put me first.
But you were busy,
Busy destroying yourself.
You weren't there.
I wanted to laugh with you.
I wanted to get mad at you.
I wanted you to want me.
But all you wanted was another high.
You abandoned those who loved you.
You weren't there.
Your absence left a void,
A gaping hole in my heart.
You gave me up
So I let you go.
You missed your chance.
You'll never be there.
To care about me,
