Still alive
Bare your teeth in the barren land
join the dance
Never gonna get another chance
now's your chance
End your surrender, stay strong
Endure
Struggle to fend off Death's allure
Pain is pure
Swimming endorphins fading in the night
failing sight
Dimming of darkness, waiting for the light
Fade or fight
Grasp the last gasps of your final breaths
Let fate arrive
Cling onto the chance that you may survive
Still alive
join the dance
Never gonna get another chance
now's your chance

Execution of potential
On the surface of a tiny world
sat a normal man, a bit too thin
confidence low, infinite within
and very, very tired of life
He stared off with a thoughtful grin
as the gun kissed his scalp
it whispered into his ear
"Let me scream the coming of the silence."
The man sighs and replies
"Patience, my friend, my greatest enemy,
I have potentials to ponder,
self worth's to create
I have time, and the imagination to extend such
"AS DO WE ALL!!!..." screamed the gun.

My Mistakes
I have won her for now
I stare off into the night
earned bliss twists and turns
a wrist on a missing rail
failing to cling to the absent thing
then sailing down to the ground
with a dog-eared fence cushioning
the blow with it's strikes
gently throwing my battered body
to break and shatter upon the gravel
travelling breathless yet deathless
to see...
-oh, my mistakes.
I stare off into the night

FICTIONAL PROSE

FINISHED
She was gone. That's it.
The only part of me that I could call life had shriveled
away to reveal an illusion that was never anything I had
dreamt it to be.
It was finished and I was finished.
I held the shot glass up to my lips. The bourbon sparkled
in the dim bar lights like sweet diamonds of forget.
The pleasant burning flow of peace tickled my throat as
my departed angel drifted further from my mind.
I'll think about her later, I thought, when all of this
is over with.
Later, always later.
I'm busy now trying to block out the pain. I'll get...

Choose your God wisely
Most children don't get to choose their own God
a God is appointed apparently by parents who were
anointed by their parents' ignorant arrogance
before them who swore them into infinite impotence
and intellectual boredom
It often remains until they are adults
then catapults itself into a new generation
of spiritual masturbation
No new thoughts are brought to the decaying equation
what's important is appearance perceived in society
and the passport and clearance conceived by your deity
so may it be and so may it mean
believing in bright fairy...

return of the Phoenix
I was wandering through the Empire built
by all mankind made into slaves
pondering the entire lack of guilt
as monarchs trampled on their graves
I saw during dawn's new untold story
a bird I'd seen once long ago
a flowering fiery allegory
majestic in it's angelic glow
this creature's image on their eyes
made tyrants fall with frozen faces
enslaved aspirants then would rise
to fill their predecessors' places
the choice of sound from every angle
made all rejoice and then inspire
the voice of several thousand angels ...

the best way to kill you
you don't remember what you did to me
time makes all debts disappear
only in the eyes of the debtors
the victims never forget
they remember forever the crimes
that have been committed

I don't want you on guard
I want you relaxed on your happiest day
not a care in your perfect world
when I come to take it all away
just as you did to me

I'm fine and dandy like cotton candy
on a summer night with my summer love
and the sky above is smiling at me just right

Doc needs more money with no descriptions
if I want to refill my next prescriptions
Xanax for panic attacks, to help you relax
Effexor to take or go back where you where
Oh, and I shouldn't forget now to mention
those cute little pills for acute hypertension
I don't have more money. FUCK YOU!
I'm now sedate with my newest replacement
my doctor chained up in a cage in my basement
nurturing lies die, the belief...
