POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Each time it is written, with each tap of a key. More words and more phrases to know the real me. But what yarns am I spinning, what tales do I tell? What's real, what's a facade, I'm not sure I know...but read along with me and just enjoy the show.
SUMMER ROULETTE
When you say you can take trash and turn it into treasure,
Sadly, the opposite statement we must also endure.
For one person's treasure remains trash to me,
And I do mean this poem to be taken most politely.
Buttercups, bales of hay, bleating in the sun,
How could one argue with such springtime fun?
Golden, fanning petals look upon clear blue sky - Delight!
Sheep and lambs graze, wool coats catching the light.
Meanwhile...as we bask in such a wonderous sight,
A boy with a tissue is given a fright.
Atishoo!...

THE EVIL GRIN
Pah. Evil you say, the guts and gore
Spielberg had special effects darling
Dead is dead and you feel it no more
What I do best, is more evil for sure
See, the thing to remember
The thing to revere
Is that it's lurking inside each one of you dear
Some minds are weaker, some bodies weaker still
But you'll all soon crack, if we find the right pill
My favourite kind, the worst one to bear
The one that would have you tear limb from limb, hair from hair,
You'll corrode to a wafer, a shell, a mere shadow of a being
That grinning...

THE WHITE RABBIT
THE WHITE RABBIT
The jackpot has been hit,
The Kraken unleashed.
Artistic licence set rules,
To unleash the beast.
So someone like me just can't help themselves,
from telling you all of a the glorious hell.
Pulled in one way, pushed towards another,
The guilt and the sin cause pain like no other.
Sometimes you'd wish that the whole thing would stop,
I can I tell you how to do it, if you dare take the drop.
There's a place behind here, alongside it you might say,
You can't get there alone but with help,...

F is for FOXGLOVE
F is for FOXGLOVE
With turgid stems and grasping roots,
Begin this flower's suckling shoots.
The pale green stem proudly stakes its place,
For it's hoping to meet you face to face.
The leaves of these seem here nor there,
But only eat one if you dare.
Semblance of sage but quite different to taste,
Ingest too much and you'll rot down to waste.
Travel up the stem some more,
It's turning paler, of that I'm sure.
At the top, the beauty is found,
A flower not befitting of the ground.

This is not a Title
This sentence will never be written.
Also, I refuse to type the word 'paradox'.
The statement below is an utter lie,
The statement above is a devout truth.
The modest man may save, the indulgent can spare money,
So both the frugal and the frivolous can afford the tax then.
Is the answer to this question, no?
Certainly not, well yes it is the answer 'no' but then no...
The weather is sunny, the weather is not sunny,
So Marilyn Monroe validly ate my pink dog.
Pinnochio said, "My nose will now start to grow" ...

Katie
Katie was my best friend
Except she wasn't
She saved my life
Until she nearly killed me
She is so beautiful in some ways
Yet uglier than I can grasp in others
I met her a year ago
I wish I never had
She comforted me when I was low
A ploy to ensnare me
We shared a passion for music
Another trick she pulled
She took me to outer space
A charm of hers to fool you
She showed me the other side of reality
Knowing I'd never let go of it
I quickly grew tolerant of her charms

You, I and She
- PART ONE -
This tale is a warning, about a vice and its woe,
Of the lesson I learnt, and the ones yet to know.
See, the end is unwritten, might be my final farewell,
To the good and the bad, to the heaven and hell.
But the tale should be told, and so I’ll commence,
I’ll be open and honest and try not cause offence.
The whole story started less than eighteen months ago,
With me overweight, out-of-shape and my self-esteem low.
I was awkward and sad but was so sick of my lot,
I’d work out to get thin; it was no novel...

You, I and She
This is my poem about my Crystal Meth addiction and it depicts where I am currently in facing this. Crystal Meth is known as "Tina" in my circles. It is a tale about blame and I hope about deterrence.
