My Poor Evelin
When out in the woods
I heard a faint sound
A whistling
A tinkling
The moonlight shone my path
As I walked towards the music
My ears pricked
As I heard another soft sound
It sounded like a whale
A cry
A howl
Desperation, fright
A lovesick melody
A shameless tune
Playing in the middle of the forest
In the midnight lagoon
I saw no one around
I was utterly alone
Maybe I was imagining it
For, this was quite freaky on your own
But as I heard another click
I knew, I must be sick
Because...
