POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Father of the year award
He doesn't know if he ever had the chance to say bye.
He just knows that as a child he would cry.
He asked Mommy when is Daddy coming home?
A child without a father, feeling so all alone.
He couldn't remember what he looked like, didn't know the sound of his voice.
Asking mommy why he left, was it my fault? Or was it his choice?
Step father abused him, mommy was at work.
Step father shot Heroine, his dick was always in the dirt.
Teachers asked him what his father did.
He replied "I don't know, he left me when I was a little kid.
I don't know where...

Perseverance
Keep on moving, never slow it down.
Keep smiling, no matter what life brings you never frown.
Stand up tall, keep your head up high.
Remember to show emotions, it's okay to cry.
Never back down from a challenge, keep up the fight.
If you have a vision, don't lose the sight.
Put down the hate, always show love.
When things get hard, send a prayer up above.
Life can suck, no one ever said it was fair.
You can spill out your heart, but not everyone will care.
Never be mean, remember to be nice.
Life is a gamble, things are the luck of the dice....

Dreams
I dream of a day where I can go anywhere without running into my past.
When the pain and the depression will no longer last.
The fake friends are gone, and I'm chilling with people that are real.
I can learn how to cope with life and the way that I feel.
I have a wife and kid, a house and a car.
Out in the country where the drugs are too far.
Picking up years clean and making everyone proud.
While my grandpa is looking down and clapping his hands in the clouds.
My best friends are clean, and we're doing things big.
We all look so healthy, and not like a...

Freedom
My whole life I was looking for a meaning.
While deep inside I was screaming.
When these demons, had me feinin
For one more bag, one last line.
People ask me if I'm okay, I tell em that I'm fine.
Just another lie, cus the sun no longer shines.
Everywhere is dark, there is no street lights.
Sucked into the fight, don't no whether to go left or go right.
I can't find my way, I'm too deep in this pain.
I guess this life is what comes along with having my fathers name.
I can't live like this, but I'm too scared to live.
I just wanna die, ask me if I...
