POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I'd say i'm hoping to become a good poet.
Alone
Tell me, am I alone?
Perhaps I am, perhaps I’m wrong.
Perhaps I’m not, perhaps I’m loved.
Do I even know, do you even care?
Perhaps you do, perhaps you don’t.
Perhaps I’m talking to a wall
Tell me, am I bald?
Perhaps you see, perhaps I don’t.
Perhaps you don’t, perhaps I’m insane.
Do you know, do you even understand?
Perhaps you do, I’m sure you do.
I hope you nous my pain.
Tell me, am I invincible?
Perhaps I am, Perchance I’m not.
I’m in oblivion, maybe that’s the point.
Can you see? Do you...
Do you...

Ugly silence
They said love was that thing that gave the most feeling,
but they never knew silence, as small and simple,
had the worse feeling.
It was alright to hide behind a full stop or an ellipsis, in a text.
At times there was even a no reply or just ‘a seen’
from whoever hurt our feelings,
with their freaking disturbing silence.
Perhaps, from a second person’s view,
we were the most emotional.
Perhaps, it was nothing, it didn’t matter,
the words that weren’t spoken to conclude the matter
or argument the statement, didn’t...

In the dark
Soledad,
Her dad, turned dead, had died.
Found drunk was broke,
But stabbed and cooked.
In his boat alone,
wearing coat unknown.
The tide was strong!
They fought.
So wrong,
It was night.
That day,
He was killed, without light by him.
Some Ray, she read
But Killer they said.

Hourglass of her future
The painting blurred
Hanging unpolished
On a wall already demolished
It had been darkened
Looking miserable and tarnished
Yet she didn’t vanish
She only wished it’d tarried
Seeing herself in her mirror unpolished
Imaging her future lonely and famished
She stood in the midst of accusers angered
She had been pretty banished
To live a life in the future barren
In a land unknown and foreign
Hour by hour the sad vision hurried
A hourglass of a future she always dreaded
Finally a reality she realized
Set...
