POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Most of these poems were written in/post-high school, so naturally if I tried to edit them today, 90% would end up deleted. So I'm just going to leave them here. Also I still post sometimes, so hello. ♥️
Head-light Eyes
Pin-pricks and needles
I've got a razor inside my tongue
my eyes are heavy marbles
weighing down purple sockets
And my ears are lace
unravelling and tender
please don't scream because we
aren't the same
I am blind and I cannot
tell the difference
from whimpers and itches
Dense addiction begs the question
when the sky's black
in horizontal slits between
my window's wooden blinds
And I'm feeding the night
here at 2:05 a.m. because
there's nothing else to do
but misunderstand

Coma
A hairline fracture
to relieve the pressure
and it's never been better
to have room
to breathe

I will
stand in the light
and hope it consumes me
a warmth like the sun
kisses my skin again

Frankenstein's Monster
fingers thrusting out to catch it
like tongues, this bleakness gapes
aching for pulse, denied
sight denied
the tongues are fire
oblivion grasped, controlled
inside burning palms
a God.

Between Sleep
dark deep sleep
narcoleptic rapture
sudden dip
of lids
closed
leaden limbs sacrifice
do not retreat your warm
red ocean, my Love
as they once did
but welcome the flood
of you in my lungs
I will not turn from you
narcoleptic rapture
sudden dip
of lids
closed
leaden limbs sacrifice
do not retreat your warm
red ocean, my Love
as they once did
but welcome the flood

How Suggestive! (ænemia)
I lapped at his blood
warm wine staining my teeth
Sweet and metallic
sticky beneath my
fingernails and
pooling in the cavern
of his silent sternum
It sings at the curve of
his throat
frothing madly
For he surrendered
that column of vertebræ
pathetically
bargaining pints
for kisses
slowly
because he liked it
And I gave it to him
again and again
in saccharine parasitism
warm wine staining my teeth
Sweet and metallic
sticky beneath my
fingernails and
pooling in the cavern
of his silent sternum
It sings at the curve of
his throat
frothing madly
For he surrendered

Control
I am biting
the insides of my mouth
a bleeding cheek and
I break around the forbidden
barrier of your name
I am wound so tightly
moulding like earthen clay
to your distilled alcoholism
and my eyes like to
soak you up
the insides of my mouth
a bleeding cheek and
I break around the forbidden
barrier of your name
I am wound so tightly
moulding like earthen clay
to your distilled alcoholism
and my eyes like to
soak you up

Shuttering Like an Oxygen Machine
Love:
Asthma
An exoskeleton
Scarred and rough
Protecting caramel centre
Sweet metallic blood
Trust
Soft morning
Lazy b l u s h
Your encompassing heartbreak
Sugary blindness
Surgery hindsight
Panic
Anxious
Stay embedded at my seams
I am
Hysterical
Without your security
Give me
The assurance
I need you
Give me
Lazy morning
Soft
Unravelling
Safe
Tangle of l i m b s
Fragile lungs
Curling in lukewarm flames
Over and over
Tired melody
Yawning thanks...

Between the Lines
Hundreds of papers
withered, yellowed
wrinkled folded pieces
of my soul
hid in binders and
under matresses and
in pillows at
two A. M.

Monsters Are Not -
I
want
this
ache
to
leave
me
like
he
did.
Swiftly,
for
his
convenience.

Pearls Like Parchment
The cradling sea
which lulls me to sleep
sought your oblivion to
s a v a g e
my atoms
and every one of them
ignited for you.
And so I am nothing
after your malignant hurricane;
because you were
the salt and
the sea and
my air to d r i n k
and the waves and
my tumult of life.
Your swelling sea
is drowning me
yet I let you
savage e v e r y
o n e
of my atoms.
Asphyxiation
validating,
yet you r e b i r t h
my mourning waters.
To crystalline wine -...

sought your oblivion to

and every one of them
