Technology
It seems like in this day of age
Technology has corrupted the youth
It's an addiction
Addiction so bad it's caused an apocalypse
Brain dead zombies
Looking at a small bright screen
Where's the fun in that?
Can't go 5 minutes without checking social media sites
People seem to have so much power when they have technology
Then when you see them in the real world all you can do is laugh
Technology is a drug that's spreading to the youth and contagious
Silent teenagers
All you can here is them pounding on there screen

I'm stuck here wide awake
For reasons that are well known
You keep running through my head
It never stops
It's like you're running a marathon
Every second that flies by in the day
And you just keep becoming a memory

Reality
Reality is a strange thing
everything seems so real
but it's a figment that confuses you,
Illusion
Dream that's inside itself,
Inception
Makes you believe there's a certain path you have to follow
It puts all these obstacles in your way and expects you to overcome them
By yourself or with help
It gives no certain mission
You have to play detective just to find a path
But find yourself trapped at a dead end
Boat without a paddle
Shit out of luck

Time and Time Again
Time and time again
my mind brings up the fact that I used to be happy
my heart remembers how hard it was to breathe
I just can never escape what we used to have
you've probably found other fish in the sea
but they will never take the place in your heart
that I once held dear to me
Its now gone, but I can never say goodbye
too late to go back now

I go to the place where we shared our first kiss
that kept playing in my head the whole day
made me go on my knees, crying

Kids
As kids we wanted to grow older
it seemed like our destiny
it was all we ever wanted
no one wanted to be young
but what were we thinking
As time flew by, we realize we need to go back
The easiest of times are far behind us
and we can't do anything about it
all we can do is remember back to the past
and cherish it as if it was a lost soul
Hold on to the good times
Cause soon it will be nothing to you later on
As kids we got away with everything
stealing cookies was the only crime we thought was wrong

Separate Ways
We were both at the point in our lives
a fork in the road
but we couldn't travel this path together
so we had to disband
break apart
break up
A choice that would make things better
We both had our separate passions
dreams
wishes
hopes
Realization kicked in that we had to follow the dreams
but not as a pack
a single letter
we must be shipped
across the world we go
meeting new people
I never thought it could be this simple
Times went on, I found my passion
writing about you,

A Day to Remember
Theres a simple day
just one in paricular that differs from the rest
the day I met you
I kept that day close to my heart
just in case I have to remember back to the past
im gonna take the Delorean back in time
cause I can't live without that smile
it makes me know everythings okay
just atleast for the day.
The day we met, I remember those eyes
Brightest shade of the color possible
I could of never imagined something more simple
simple but beautiful at the same time
I could never forget who introduced us
I will have to repay him...

If I had wings, I'd fly to you
You, I want to be next to
I never wanted to leave your side
but the tide of the sun went down
and the light of the moon seperated us
But I'll be the stars
If you'll promise to be the sky that keeps me in place
Our love is bound
the moons gravity couldn't hold us down
We'd travel the universe
Without no space ship
it will be like a cartoon
We won't need helmets
All I need is your hand
As we go and travel this universe together
Bound to space we'd fly
to infinity and beyond

Why is this love only one way
I'm the only one trying to believe in us
The clouds don't even match the sky
that's how bad my heart hurts
just seeing you giving mixed signals
I just hope I don't crash
for I know the dead end is coming
You press your lips against mine
rub your fingers through my hair
even use those 3 words on me
I don't understand whats going on
feels like I'm in a time warp
on my way to another dimension
were everything's backwards
but the hardest decision to choose from
if this real or not
should I pinch...
