Façade Masquerade
She bows her head and smiles
As the masquerade begins
Each "How do you do?"
Answered with a "Fine thank you."
Her mask firmly in place
She begins to float between the ornate bodies
A gentle touch here
A gracious bow there
Not a single truth slips
Each tucked tightly into her corset
Her quivering heart beats underneath her proud chest
Cold hands shaking under her gloves
Every secret folded neatly into her dress
Shy eyes covered by her mask
She twirls and laughs
Thanks every gentlemen after a dance
She puts on a...

Their Song
He held her hand and kept her close
Their feet began to drag along
Time passed quickly as all time goes
He smiled and began to hum her song
She felt his hand in hers and knew
Nothing else in the moment could go wrong
She heard a sweet sound as the night life grew
She blushed and began to hum his song
Her song was sweet and made him smile
His song was smooth and almost wild
Each song was art when sung in solitary
But combined the songs were a symphony
He smiled sweetly to her as her song came to an end

What I See In You
Can you see me?
I don't know if you can
Saying this isn't easy
But I'll do the best I can
I always get lost when you look into my eyes
I can't help but to go insane
But the sound of your voice makes me feel alive
I hear choirs sing when I hear your name
You see me and look at me like everyone else
But can you see you the way I do
Some day I hope you look at me
The way I look at you
Some day I hope you see
The man I see in front of me
The one I think could lift the sky
And be my comfort when I start to cry
I don't know if you can

To be honest, I don't know what I'm doing. I'm just standing over an unconscious body with a scalpel in my hand and a white-green light hanging over my head. I can feel the water dripping out of the rusted foset. I've been told to remove the skin from the finger tips and stitch new skin in its place. A shiver slowly crawls down my spine and makes my hands start to shake. I scream for help in my mind hoping to awaken something inside my semi-conscious mind that will jump out and tear my captures to pieces. I take a long look at the person I'm about to cut open. One Night
She sits there holding her face in her hands
Leg twitching as she tries to pull it together
Her breaths get heavier and deeper
Her fists begin to ball up, knuckles turning white
She looks at the bottle on her floor
Why not? She thinks
Bottoms up and takes a gulp
It burns in her stomach and sloshes around
Empty bottle, she stands up stumbling
Room spinning and legs failing
She smiles and looks at her desk
Blurring vision focused on the pill bottle
Anger still raging inside her, she doesn't want to feel
She crawls to the desk...

Mommy mommy play with me
Chase me chase me you can't catch me
Pick me up and spin me around
Ashes to ashes we all fall down
Mommy mommy is no more
Mommy mommy fell to the floor
She took it once and took it twice
Now she has to be put on ice
Daddy daddy play with me

Pick pretty flowers from the ground

Purgatory
Strapped down, they hold you thinking it will help
They've strapped you but not me, mortals shall never learn
They take hold of you but can't place their hands upon me
They look into your eyes thinking they can reach me
They start to chant as the candles flicker
I take hold of your mind as they take hold of you
Louder they chant, I use your voice and laugh in their faces
Your skin begins to burn as I take hold of your soul
You feel my grasp the more you thrash

She arose to dawn's light passing with ease through the dusty window. She let herself stare at the specks of dust dancing and reflecting in dawn's light, colliding and tickling her nose. The poison bite and deadly breath
The bridge we cross of no return
Light it up and watch it burn
Always watching, always waiting
Slowly starting to take hold of you
Your climax and end it starts creating
Planning to take another too
You can run but you can't hide
For so long to you I've tried to tell
It always comes like the rising tide
Leaving you nothing but an empty shell
The life drips out of your cooling flesh
It feeds on your mortality
The rush of your catastrophe ...

I knock on the door and there is no answer
I wait a moment but...nothing
I open the door and I see you
Laying in a pile of your own vomit

What did you do to yourself?
I dive to the floor to be by your side
You wheeze barely hanging on

Your hair sticks to your forehead
You gag as more vomit comes up
