POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Inspired by the Boreal and fueled by the blistering.
Dunes and Plate
Upon this land where saints and prophets trod,
A knight doth stand, in awe of Heaven’s grace
The golden sun, a blessing from our God,
Doth bathe the hills in light’s divine embrace
The holy soil beneath his armored feet,
Whence flowed the blood of martyrs, pure and brave,
Now blooms with life, where earth and heaven meet,
A garden fair that ancient hands did crave
The olive trees, their branches wide and old,
Whisper of peace, yet know the taste of strife
The winding rivers, glistening like gold,
Run swift and...

Shade and Shadow
In twilight's veil, where shadows softly Creep,
A darkness stirs beneath the sacred dome,
In hallowed halls where faithful bend to weep,
A whispering shade invades the holy home
The candles flicker 'gainst the night's embrace,
Yet shadows twist with forms no eye hath seen,
An ancient dread, beyond both time and space,
Doth weave its curse where once pure light had been
The faithful chant, their prayers a fragile shield,
Yet madness lurks within the shadowed fold,
A creeping doubt...

Soldier's Patron
O Prince of Hosts, with wings as purest snow,
Thy trumpet soundeth, waking souls from sleep.
In battle fierce, thou lay'st the devil low,
And from his grasp dost all thy servants keep.
In fields of glory, where the saints abide,
Thou art the champion of the just and true.
With fiery blade, thou scatter'st sin's dark tide,
And guide the faithful to the heavens blue.
Thine is the strength that falters not nor fades,
Thy voice a clarion in the darkest hour.
Thy name be praised where'er the light invades,

Serenity and Sanity
0, when the mind doth wane, and reason parts,
And shadowed thoughts encroach upon the day,
Yet still within, the quiet of our hearts,
A sacred peace doth hold the dark at bay.
Though senses fail and visions cloud the sight,
With phantoms born of madness' cruel art,
Yet shines within a tranquil, holy light,
That guards the soul, though all else falls apart.
The whispers vile, that twist the mind to Woe,
May roar like tempests in the midnight hour,
Yet deep within, where God's pure waters flow,
The spirit basks in grace's...

A Thousand Eyes Blinded
From crypts to tallest spires
Honest peasants to shimmering liars
Falling devils to beating cherubim wings
Can you not hear how the blood sings?
Sanity lost yet insight gained
I see past where the shadows reign
Of what lurks between the planets dark
Void song with a melody cold and stark
No more shall I walk this mortal coil
Within the freezing reach I'll toil
Living amongst the boreal heavens
Grasping beyond the choirs seven
We shall go beyond...

Womb of Avarice
Misers deluded by their greed
Each drop of gold a wound as the soul bleeds
Gilded claws clutching deep into the soul
Bejeweled temptations taking control
Enriching damnation by which virtue is bored
Crucified above the glittering hoard
Each coin a toll down perdition's gates
Ruled by their own flaxen hate
Seek not the aureate path
Expedited towards divine wrath
Gleaming tumors deep within
Golden and auroral yet worthless sin
Each drop of gold a wound as the soul bleeds
Gilded claws clutching deep into the soul
Bejeweled temptations taking control
Enriching damnation by which virtue is bored
Crucified above the glittering hoard

Bayou Meditations
The still water of the stygian night
And the moon being the guiding light
By the mires where the gators lurk
Cypress tress jutting out like earthen dirks
Kneeling by the crawdad's mounds
Enjoying the marshy ground
Biscuits with molasses none of that jam tart
Cajun brood but a knight errant at heart
Pale face stifling a smile
Wanting a 100 acres with another Winchester rifle
To reap the swampy bounty for a crockpot
Fond memories spitting out steak's buckshot
...

Bows of The Steppes
A scourge upon the land, like lightning rode this mighty band,
Steeds' hooves like thunder, and arrows like rain,
Sweeping across the Magyar's plain.
A duel of the bow and the lance,
The Iberian eagle, their last chance.
Walls thrown down, torn asunder,
Raging inferno roaring with beastly thunder.
Water runs red, mingling with blood,
Fallen defenders lie mangled in mud.
They’d see their homes and treasure aflame
Rather than let Batu ride off with their name.
Sabres and hammers storm citadel walls,
The blood of...

Hawks and Doves
In yonder fields where hawks and doves take flight,
There lies a tale of love's unending plight.
The hawk, with eyes afire, doth seek its prey,
While gentle dove in shadows doth delay.
The hawk, relentless, circles in the skies,
With talons sharp and piercing, hungry eyes.
He chases dreams that flit and fade away,
Unheeding of the dove's soft, mournful bray.
The dove, in purity, doth soar so free,
A symbol of a love that ne'er shall be.
She flies on wings of hope, yet ever spurned,
By hawk's fierce gaze, her gentle heart is...

A Judgement of Steel
The sovereigns and their lords
Beseech me to take up the sword
Of which I seeketh judgement
And take vengeance upon thine enemies
With honor bound, I tread this path,
To mete out justice, fury's wrath.
In shadows deep, my heart shall tread,
With steel in hand, by valor led.
Through battle's roar and clashing steel,
I stand as fate, their doom to seal.
For in this quest, my soul shall strive,
To see their foes no more alive.
Yet in the night, where silence reigns,...
Beseech me to take up the sword
Of which I seeketh judgement
And take vengeance upon thine enemies
With honor bound, I tread this path,
To mete out justice, fury's wrath.
In shadows deep, my heart shall tread,
With steel in hand, by valor led.
Through battle's roar and clashing steel,
I stand as fate, their doom to seal.
For in this quest, my soul shall strive,
To see their foes no more alive.
Yet in the night, where silence reigns,...

The Hound
In shadows deep, where ancient horrors loom,
There dwells a beast from night’s eternal gloom.
A presence felt, in whispers darkly spawned,
It roams the void, with sanity foregone.
‘Neath moonless skies, its footsteps softly tread,
A harbinger of fear, and boundless dread.
Its eyes, two pools of malevolent light,
Pierce through the veil of everlasting night.
The ancient tombs, where secrets dark abide,
Hide not from it, this terror they provide.
Unearthly howls, like whispers from the grave,
Echo in minds, where reason cannot...

That Which Guards What Cannot Be Reclaimed
In Eden's gate, where once pure bliss did reign,
Now stands a guard, with visage fierce and plain.
Archangel Gabriel, with sword of flame,
Doth bar the path, where none may stake their claim.
His eyes, like stars, with piercing light doth gleam,
And none may pass, nor even dare to dream.
The sword he wields, in fire’s eternal blaze,
Cuts through the night, in bright and deadly haze.
A sacred charge, this garden to defend,
From mortal hands that seek their fall to mend.
Yet dark it seems, this hallowed, guarded place, ...
