The Blood and Rain of Pennsylvania
In 1953 Heinsburg, Pennsylvania, a young girl played in the grass by the forest edge. The mother and father sat upon their porch swing at the front of the cottage, watching their child. Spontaneously, dark clouds covered the sky, yet the parents thought nothing of it, for rain was a common occurrence and never posed any danger to threaten their well-being. “Papa!” the young girl clamored,“ Papa!” At that moment the birds stopped chirping, the breeze stopped blowing, and the clouds lay still as a stone in the sky. Love and goodbyes
What is love?
Many people ask
To answer that question is not an easy task
Is it as peaceful as a dove?
As easy as the breeze?
No its not
Its hard
Its brutal
It might make you cry
To be honest its different
For each and every person, but
Sometimes to truly love someone
You must be able to say goodbye

Each and every day
Always hoping for what she'd say

For now it hurts
Greif hurts
Jealousy hurts
Resentment hurts
Betrayal hurts
Loneliness hurts
The things that hurt can be mended
All those thoughts can be ended
It may seem like the end of time
Life may seem sour like a lime
Yes it's sour but also sweet
History will repeat
It won't be the last
But it won't be forever
Happiness can shine
And I can call it mine

Not A Puppet
I dont care what you think of me
You cant tell me who Im meant to be
I don't care what you think of how I dress
Cause I ain't here to impress
And every once and a while
Your voices seem trapped in my head
I take my voice and I scream in my bed
I let it out
Let out all my anger
My pain and sorrow
Wont let it stay till tomorrow
Cause I ain't your puppet
And your not my puppet master
I wont dress just like you
I think glasses are cool
Dont know about ya
My hair ain't your length
But Im gonna stay...

Baby Its Cold Outside
I lay in my bed with no hope for any sleep. Tomorrow my baby is supposed to be born. If it is a boy it will be kept by the farmer and I will spend another year working as an unwilling servant spending long hours in the fields then folding Mr.Fare’s laundry. If it is a girl, my baby will be sold and I will be killed for a failure to have a boy child. The thought of escaping crosses my mind yet there's no point, for the tracker has been welded into my bloodstream. If I could run the chains of this flatbed I could cause a miscarry, but I could never do that for if my child is a boy it will live...

Stranger in the mirror
Have you hid in the shadows?
Been afraid for too long?
Never had the guts to sing your own song?
Does a stranger hide in the mirror for thee?
Well today's a new era
Turn around and see
Look in the mirror and determine who you want to be
Not like her
Not like him
With every thought to be like them
Your light inside will surely dim
So put on some new pants
Color your hair
Cause if you continue down this path of despair
To be like them, it will get you nowhere
So put on a smile
Let it stay for a while ...

After everything you did
I laugh in my head when you talk to me
You think that everything is as good as can be
But if I'm being honest
I don't like you at all

Im so lost
I dont even understand
Ive known you for so long
And you have never done something so wrong
So tell me what did I do
