POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Home
Staring aroung, no familiar faces
Excitement
What comes next?
The doors open
Everyones in in an instant
Noise
Louder than thunder
The crowd starts rolling
Fists, knees, elbows, everywhere
Amidst all this violence and brutallity
No anger, no hate, just pure joy
This is my home
This is my refuge, my community,
My peace
Here, I feel a sense of harmony
Here, I learn to let go
Hours go by like minutes,
Minutes like seconds
The music dies down
The room slowly emptys
The steam rolls off the crowd,
Into the night...
Excitement
What comes next?
The doors open
Everyones in in an instant
Noise
Louder than thunder
The crowd starts rolling
Fists, knees, elbows, everywhere
Amidst all this violence and brutallity
No anger, no hate, just pure joy
This is my home
This is my refuge, my community,
My peace
Here, I feel a sense of harmony
Here, I learn to let go
Hours go by like minutes,
Minutes like seconds
The music dies down
The room slowly emptys
The steam rolls off the crowd,
Into the night...

Deprivation
Buried
Underneath countless days of boredom
Alone I sit, felling concentration and contentness
Listening, watching, observing
I want something
I feel like I need something
But what?
What is chewing at my conscience like a ravenous beast?
The deprivation is all consuming
The deprivation of excitement
But still, I sit with overwhelming composure
For I have learned,
Its far better to wait
Underneath countless days of boredom
Alone I sit, felling concentration and contentness
Listening, watching, observing
I want something
I feel like I need something
But what?
What is chewing at my conscience like a ravenous beast?
The deprivation is all consuming
The deprivation of excitement
But still, I sit with overwhelming composure
For I have learned,
Its far better to wait
