POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I write poems to let loose the feelings and emotions I keep from everyone else. Doing this makes me feel like a better person for, when I do this, it is out of my body and I can focus on the much happier things in my life.
Little Reminders
You grace my presense
With your unexpected smiles
My fingertips
Each, captured in a kiss
My own passionate lips abandoned
You kiss each finger gently
And as tears slip past my eyes
You remind me that there are still
Soft things in the world
With your unexpected smiles
My fingertips
Each, captured in a kiss
My own passionate lips abandoned
You kiss each finger gently
And as tears slip past my eyes
You remind me that there are still
Soft things in the world

Empty
I've run out of tears
I've no more lead
I can no longer write to you the things
I dread
I've no more lead
I can no longer write to you the things
I dread

Like an Army in My Home
I watch those around me fall one by one
Like soldiers forced on to a battle
field
And as such, I never really know if
they are dead or simply injured
All I want is to know how they are
If they are alive or dead or somewhere
in between
And then I have the deserters
No matter how hard I beg for them to
stay
They turn their backs and leave anyway
So here I kneel
Before a battlefield made of family
Friends
Salvation on the other side
If only I could just walk through it...
Like soldiers forced on to a battle
field
And as such, I never really know if
they are dead or simply injured
All I want is to know how they are
If they are alive or dead or somewhere
in between
And then I have the deserters
No matter how hard I beg for them to

Life
A burst of sunshine in a darkened room
The fresh air you crave in a smoggy city
Blood that races through your veins, adrenaline pushing it along
Life
The darkness that instantly swallows your little burst of sunshine
The poisons, hiding in your "fresh" air
The cuts and gashes that betray you and open up
Helping the adrenaline force out your blood
Life is loving every second
Life is hating everything, everyone, and yourself
Life is variety
Life is ordinary
Life is Nothing
Life is everything
Well, this is my...

The Clouds In The Night Sky Filling the Universe
Watching the clouds through hazy eyes
Not understanding how shapes form in puffs made of water
Never understanding how they are entertaining
We never have
Remember when we sat in my yard and looked at the sky?
We questioned the universe and ended up with answers meant for children
We surrounded ourselves in a blanket of happiness that protected us against the cold night air
We were interrupted that night from our "studies", but soon returned when we saw the moon outside my window
Now, I sit here, gazing at the darkened night sky
