Gray Dream
Was it a nightmare?
A precognition?
Or just my many fears and anxieties working over time
Don’t know where we were but felt familiar
Was space between us
Filled with gray like fog but more solid surrounding us
Could feel people moving around me but not see them
You, me, together we paused
We locked eyes
Eyes filling with tears
I hoped they were ones of possibility
Not
As you turned around the Gray swallowed you whole
That was the night your messages were empty
