Welp here we go,
First Valentines poem.
There's alot of firsts here.
I been through so much,
Yet your the first.
First one to give as much as I give.
First one to mean what you say.
First one to fix things before it's a bigger issue.
First of many things within these amazing 6 months of getting to know you.
I thank you for healing my past scars.
For having the patience dealing with my fears,
Reassuring me always.
I haven't met someone as pure hearted as me,
That's pretty great.

Remind Yourself
It's hard to be a dreamer
It's hard to feel like your the only good one left
To remember that people walk away
For the only reason
That they know they can’t afford you.
It’s hard when people keep walking out
Making you question
Your ability to be great
In fact
it’s that they question
If they can even be great to you
They let their insecurities overcome them
Don’t confuse yourself
Be that dreamer
Have that hope
Know you can have it all
Be confident
What isn’t meant for you filters it’s self out. ...

I see you
Put your hand to mine
Pick your head up
Look at me
Your eyes are red
Whether it's the drugs
Drinking
Or the mask you wear
Look at me
It's okay to cry
It's okay to not be alright
You don't need to numb anything
Feel it
Feel why this isn't what you want
Feel why this doesn't feel alright
Feel the change it's not bringing you
Are you tired?

99.9% Of The Time
Sometimes when I am distant,
it’s 99.9% of it not really being about you.
I have to heal from things not talked about,
let go of things that hurt me,
regain the wasted energy that was drained out of me for it to serve no purpose,
refocus and make my path more clear cause along the way it got kinda blurry.
Don’t be selfish and think it’s about you.
Why can’t the first assumption be that wow you really went through so much I understand,
your really strong and to smile every day like nothing is happening says enough on how strong you really are.

To walk in my shoes
You had to be there

Right people at the wrong time
Ever meet someone who’s perfect for you but not on your level?
Someone who makes you feel safe
Knows how well to treat you
Says the right things
Makes you feel wanted
Everything you didn’t get from your ex
That you wish was there between y’all

One Day
Its all on me when I choose to stay.
I know what I get,
What comes with you.
I rather fight,
Have our up and downs.
Rather than learning to love somebody
I didn't wanna love in the first place.
The thought of someone new
Makes me ache.
With someone else I'm constantly homesick, for you.
Having to explain over and over
I'm sorry I'm not ready
I have to walk away.
Just to come right back to you.
For a night.
Wishing it was forever
At least I pray one day it'd be.

Until the white gets grey
Until the laugh begins to dim
Until the trying is no more
To finally make that move
To give back

But why when it’s too late
