Seems Were Stuck Alone Together?
There's got to be more to this life than other peoples opinions?
We take on board as most do what others say or think...
It's human nature I guess, isn't it???
But it''s a reason so many of us sink...
We got to do the things we want to do!
Not what everyone else does just to fit in...
Living my life that way is way behind me now
But when I lived like that my life was a sin...
Exposed I was, I tell you...
Exposed to a narrative mind set
People standing on other peoples heads
Clambering to get what they could get..
No focus, no...
We take on board as most do what others say or think...
It's human nature I guess, isn't it???
But it''s a reason so many of us sink...
We got to do the things we want to do!

Star Struck
Millions of stars shine brightly above me and lace the night sky with a sprinkling of glitter, t'was as if salt had been spilled onto a black table cloth, it was also like they were extra bright tonight as a reward for my being out on such a brisk night.
Lights were glimmering, shimmering, and sparkling brightly all over the heavens and one could pick out the constellations with great ease and delight due to the darkness and clarity of the evening sky...
What a spectacle to behold!
Like a giant dot to dot puzzle up in space, all relating to one another...

Feelings About Thoughts
My mind hosts a compendium of thoughts
Jesus! I dont know where to begin?!
As soon as I lay one thought to rest
Another one just muscles it's way in..
They're tireless but me? I'm knackered...!
Tired way way way beyond belief...
Thoughts in my head keep me awake all night
And all I want is a little relief!
Maybe if I try to ignore them?
Nah! How could I? They're all about you!
Perhaps I could fool them into believing
That that's it! And I know what to do!
A'ha! That could be the answer?
Pretend it's all in my mind so it...
Jesus! I dont know where to begin?!

Love
Love is patient, kind, it's not jealous.
Love doesn't brag, it behaves morally,
Love is decent,
Love is not selfish,
Love doesn't become angry,
Love doesn't hold grudges,
Love puts others first,
Love is honest,
Love hopes,
Love endures...
What a wonderful world this could be if we all knew how to love ❤️

Squishy Squashy
Plum juice for weight loss
Lemon juice to start your day
Apple juice, no! Full of sugar
And orange juice brings on decay..
Tea is full of caffiene
Coffee is a caffiene fiend too
What the fuck am I supposed to drink?
Water, it looks like it's just you!
Can't face beer or real ale these days
Jack Daniel's is my danger zone
Vodka, yukk! no thanks my friend
And I'm not drinking whisky on my own...
Milk has always been a favourite
That's healthy isnt it? So were told
Fuck it I'm gonna drink all of the above ...

Men Get Scared Too
How can I not say to your face what I say to you by text?
Why am I so afraid?
I know what I want to say, I've rehearsed it all,
And yet it's still all going unsaid!
Maybe I'm not a real man, real men dont fret...
But when I look in the mirror it's a man I see?
So why is the man in me afraid to tell you,
Of all the things you are to me?
You see, my mind never stops analysing possible outcomes and scenarios...
It just never bloody closes down!
No matter how much I rehearse my lines
I think my voice will sink and...
Why am I so afraid?
I know what I want to say, I've rehearsed it all,
And yet it's still all going unsaid!

Honesty Is The Best Policy
I think if someone has something to say
They should say it regardless of any consequence
As long as what they're saying is the truth
And not just to win over someones confidence
Just be honest in the things you say
Only say things after you've thought them through
Dont say something just to get a result
Only speak your mind if its TRUE!
That's what I do, I tell the truth
I say exactly what I feel in my heart
I wouldnt lie about the way I feel
Or the things I've told someone from the start..
Just be...

Seduced From A Distance
It's been a funny old day my friends
I'm sitting here flirting with a Jack Daniels
Its growing darker as the night descends
At my feet are my two Cocker Spaniels...
In the background there are rhythmic beats
Someone close by is playing Bowie...
One of his early ones, a song called Kooks
That David penned for his first born Zowie...
The TV is on but the sounds down low
Theres nothing on their but corona virus
It's high time the world started to spin again
And all of this dread would pass by us...
I'm bored, drinking cos what...

A Captive Heart
First chance I get of seeing you
Is one I'm not going to miss
Doesnt matter if I'm half way across town
I'll change all my plans for you in a whizz
I dont care what I'm doing or where I'm going
I dont care who I'm supposed to be meeting
Your a priority to my heart and soul
Your the reason my hearts violently beating..
So it doesnt matter what I'm doing
It doesnt matter where I'm going
Being close to you is all I care about

To Old To Be Happy

Get this! I'm told I'm to old for love?
That happiness for me passed long ago
Oooft! That's a little unkind I'd say
They dont know me so how would they know?
Happiness is an ageless emotion
It's one that comes and goes I agree
But dont for a moment think I'm no longer worthy
Of the happiness that's been set aside for me.
To old, haha and I'm only 54
Is happiness exclusively for the youths?
I think sometimes they just talk from the top of their heads,
It's high time they were told some home...

Saddened and yet, I'm not sad?

It's not the best week I've ever had...
Humbled, I'd say that's more like it
But hopeful of what could be
I really dont know, I cant get it in my head
But in my minds eye I can clearly see...

It can rip open the cage that protects your heart, But I believe in...

A Private Man
I'm a private man,
But I've opened myself up on here?
I seem to be more honest with myself
As I approach my twilight years...
But I'm happy about that to be honest (lol)
I'm glad that I'm finally me
Not someone who tries to fit in any more
For that's the way I used to be...
But I guess that's what we all did?
Especially whilst in our youth
Now I dont care what anyone says or thinks
And that's the absolute truth...
