Loneliness
Is the colour of honey fermenting in a cold dark cupboard  
It happens when apathy moves in and connection departs  
It sounds like untethered screams on a phone unhooked
It smells like smouldering smoke of old burning hearts    
It tastes like a slice of life with lashings of sacrifice on top  
It looks like a hurt bird out of flight on my wall totally fucked   
and feels like a mausoleum for all things nice a melancholic paradise

so it be that the breeze in the trees
shall bend and break and bow
not for me I'll do as I please  
my knees stay firm on the ground  
 
so it be that you stand and shiver  
at what you see and feel and need  
not for me I'll do all to tease  
and squeeze my lips to deliver  
 
so it be that the juice of your seed  
bleeds into my mouth  
and greed of the deed and envy me  
"Please.." I hear your encore shout  
 
not for me to dismiss decree  
and on my knees stay down
