LOVE POEM

Nothing Left
I thought you were something
or someone
I thought you were fun.
I thought a lot of things of you
but it turned out to be none.
We lived in a shadow for many years unspoken
No fighting, no cursing, nothing broken
Pretending harmony for the sake of the kids
eighteen years later
it went past the skids.
You packed up and went
nothing left in the house.
you gave up on us
you gave up on me
But believe me i noticed
long before there was nothing to see.

Do you remember telling me
your heart is in my hands?
That you hold mine safe
That you would never hurt me
And this is where we stand?
Do you remember telling me
that we are connected?
That you can feel me touching you
though miles we are separated
The promises i have made
are promises i have not broken
and still i feel you pushing me
though you have not spoken.
And I wonder what you see
when you are looking deep within me
Is it simply my beauty?
For I am more than this
More than skin,hair, breasts, bottom, and eyes

She is beautiful
This little creature
Big innocent eyes
No way to know
She tells so many lies
She shares my blood
My milk
My bones
But now shes on meth
And all alone.....

Waiting
See the little doll
There on the shelf?
I am she, and she is me
Dust in her hair
Dust in her never blinking eyes
If she had one wish
What would that be?
Of course!
Take me down and play with me
Not just once
nor twice....
Please take me down from this shelf
And let me live my life.

She is me
And no empty head are we
Only tortured
by a very long memory.
Dark shadows take her from sight
But I am she
and she is me
And we have nothing
No tears to cry
the dust away from our eyes
Only to wait...
