OBSERVATIONAL POEM

Red Paint
A deafening countdown.
A clock that's ticking in my head.
Seeing in black and white.
I'm not alive, nor am I dead.
Stuck, forced into tedious routine.
The clock still trudges along.
This is all I've ever known.
Somehow, this feels all wrong.
Individuality is now dead.
"At least there's no war now", they said.
Stuck in the same, dull rhythm.
I see no faces, hear no song.
Break free from your chains
Sing your own fucking tune
Stop being a cog in a broken machine
You have the choice so make it now...

The World's Greatest Game
Are we alone
Do we walk this path with no footprints ahead
Uncertain Afraid Stationary
You dare not move
Too afraid of mistakes
Too afraid of being right
Why are we so scared
We don't make a move
Stalemate
But no
While we ponder our moves
Life has already made three
Then it's too late
Checkmate
The King falls
The Queen weeps
The pawn crumbles
Why do we still play this game?
Life cheats
We play fairly
We lose
Use the Rook to crush their King ...

The Devil's Peck
You let him in
He is your smile
For him, you'd go the extra mile
You're completely smitten
You dance in the pools of his eyes
Never knowing what coldness they might disguise
His laugh, ever sweet and ever kind
You never thought he'd leave your heart behind
The touch of an angel, ever soft
Gentle kisses caress your neck
Oh, darling. Don't be daft.
The devil's kiss is but a peck
He'll leave you torn,
He'll leave you broke
After all he'd sworn,
His deceit will let you choke

Spewing venom and jagged claws
Horrendous teeth and giant paws
Evil has never appeared so smart
Sin and deceit is now common art
Fancy suit, expensive tie
"Justice" is our biggest lie
Blood-boiling anger within
An era of darkness has now begin
Christians are dying
Politicians are lying
Hearts full of dread
Humanity is long-since dead.

Demon vs Dove
You devour your victim's heart
Swallowing whole, her undying love.
Ignoring her cries, you ripped her apart.
The battle of the demon and the dove.
You use your fakest smile to hide
A cold-hearted sociopath deep inside.
You prey on the fragile and the weak
And once they're broken, a new victim you will seek.
You can't stop, you say.
You enjoy the cries of your prey.
Screams in the night, whimpers in the day,
You like it too much to give it away.
I want to help, I really do...
But it hurts when I'm in love with you.[font=Verdana]

DARK POEM

I Never Did Belong.
This pain makes my teeth clench
Tears well up in my eyes.
What is wrong with that wench?
Surely this came as no surprise.
My blood drips.
My head dips.
Maybe I deserve this.
I try to drown my demons.
It would seem that they can swim.
I try to hone my anger.
This situation seems too dim.
Blood mixed with tears.
I've fought this for too many years.
A tear in my soul.
Icy is this growing hole.
I could try to run
Or end this with a gun.
Perhaps another blade?
Surely no one would come to my aid.
...
