POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Faded
The freckles on your skin,
Spilling constellations,
Of a future long lost.
Those milky eyes,
Sunken, blinded in clouds,
Of a past ever present.
What have you become?
How could you remain?
These battle scars.
A different kind.
No victory to boast,
As the last man stands.
Drop your weapon, soldier,
Peel from your tattoos,
Shrink into the cobwebs,
You tried to survive.
Sewing your eyes shut.
Doing so, cost you your life,
As I turn from the shattered mirror.
Spilling constellations,
Of a future long lost.
Those milky eyes,
Sunken, blinded in clouds,
Of a past ever present.
What have you become?
How could you remain?
These battle scars.
A different kind.
No victory to boast,
As the last man stands.
Drop your weapon, soldier,

Shrink into the cobwebs,

Where'd the Monsters Go.?
We stopped checking under our beds
The monsters don’t live there anymore.
Figments of diseased imagination,
Or imagination, a doorway,
To stark, terrible reality.
Don’t close the door.
They warned us.
This switch is rigged.
On is off and off is on.
We turn on the lights,
By falling into blackness,
Stepping into darkness,
Falsely eliminated.
The monsters aren’t under our beds.
We turned our backs,
They’re in our heads,
They warned us.
The monsters don’t live there anymore.
Figments of diseased imagination,
Or imagination, a doorway,
To stark, terrible reality.
Don’t close the door.
They warned us.
This switch is rigged.

At The End
At the End.
In hazy daydreams,
Rambling thoughts,
I would wonder
I would ponder
As I wander
Through these visions.
And I would see.
Would there be a you
Or me, or we,
Or would there be,
In simplicity,
Nothingness.
At the end.
For at the end,
Of thought, or time,
Could there be,
Blankness sublime,
No need to define,
What is left behind
At the close.
Yet nothingness,
Is somethingness,
And somethingness,
Is nothing.
When everything,
Is infinity, quite,
Which in itself,...
In hazy daydreams,

Help me, God.
Come one, come all,
Come willingly to service.
Come embrace the lengthy arms
Of our loving God.
So he came, he served,
And he put forth all his faith,
And he took the wine and bread,
And sung to God.
And he prayed every night,
And forgiven of his sins,
He prayed for protection,
From his God.
And he prayed, and he sung,
As domestic life turned rough,
And he wondered, in his strife,
Tis the will of God.?
No older than fourteen,
Shattered were his dreams,
When he ran onto the streets,
Hoping to God....
Come willingly to service.

Watch from afar
Every day she went to the water,
Every day she would look all across,
The edges of bank where she lost her,
Scanning the mud and stringy moss.
The old hag of Poison Lilly River,
They watched and they jeered from afar,
When she waited there, by the banks,
With one wish on a falling star.
She waited at the edge each day,
And she stood by the edge of the water,
She bore rags upon her weathered back,
As she waited at the edge for her daughter.
Alone she was in her madness,
Since the day she had come to obsess,
She knew her...

Should've Would've Could've Didn't
I sat beside her bed, its white sheets starched and smooth. Her small, brittle hand lay above the covers, nails long and un-cut, skin stretched and frail. A small band of skin around one of her fingers was slightly lighter than the rest, showing the mark the ring had left.
I sat beside her bed, the sheer cleanliness around me a reminder of where we were. The hospital was empty... the lights left on, the silence unbroken. My watch beeped, somewhere in the back of my mind. 2.00am.
What did he do to you? How could you come to this? We were best friends, back in primary school... you...

Sanity's Rejection
Alone I sit in waiting as a heart may be to breaking,
The depths of the darkness just a wave upon the shore.
With a hidden smile faking and my lips, they 'ere to shaking,
The rage inside me quaking just a trembling in my core.
As my heart it is no more.
I stand in dreaming at the doors to the land of madness,
As the world before my feet has fallen hazy as to black.
My mind was lost to sadness in the years I spent in bleakness,
I may be screaming out in meakness, to the light behind the crack,
As my enemies scream back.
Maybe in a bleak...
The depths of the darkness just a wave upon the shore.
With a hidden smile faking and my lips, they 'ere to shaking,
The rage inside me quaking just a trembling in my core.

Santa, Where'd you go?
'Santa..?
Where'd you go?
Dad says mum's in heaven,
Won't you tell her...
Come home?
Cause' Santa,
I miss her,
& I think dad does to,
He's always drinking funny stuff,
I don't know what to do.
So Santa,
Can you help?
This year, for christmas,
Make daddy happy.
Bring mommy home."

Burn
Such a sour taste
Like vodka
No... whiskey.
Burn, baby
I need you tonight
Burn away these
Yesteryears
Burn away my
Crystallised tears
My poison
Let tomorrow wait
There’s burning
To be done.
To forget the past
Destroy it.
Burn it.
Let the skies
Of my denial
Rain ash.
Old, yellowed papers...
Oh honey,
How you deceive.
Sweetest sour
To ever be tasted
Burn away
Fire in your eyes
Or was,
It always there?
Hiding behind
The candy lips.
No matter.
Let your perfume...
Like vodka
No... whiskey.
Burn, baby

Bitter cold.
Ice forming on stray hair,
Falling from your hair tie.
Your head lays in my hands,
My heart in yours.
No feeling...
You sigh... your lips part
Just a fraction
Is that a tear I spy?
Or is it mine,
Falling from my orbs
Onto china doll cheeks.
No matter.
Red blood seeps through
Stains the denim of my jeans,
Oh my darling,
Do you not remember?
I told you already...
When your heart stops beating,
So will mine.
Do not fret.
I’ll meet you in heaven.
Thud, thud, thud...
Our hearts beat,...
Ice forming on stray hair,
Falling from your hair tie.
Your head lays in my hands,
My heart in yours.
No feeling...
You sigh... your lips part
Just a fraction

Can you hear us?
Can you hear our voices...?
Sitting on a street corner,
Walking down a path.
You see us.
Do you hear us?
Punk boots,
Knee high.
Don’t mind the buckles...
The spikes...
Can you see my eyes?
Stranger?
Can you see my mind?
Fishnets.
Stockings.
I’m not a sl*t...
Black lace and attire.
I’m screaming at you.
You look at me,
But you cant see me.
Devil Child!
Heavy mascara...
Yes I know its overdone.
No, I’m not goth.
I’m not emo.
I have no label.
Please...
Don’t give me one....

Walking down a path.
