Light bulb
left on for weeks
at a time,
hot, burning
and fried.
.
I’m tired
of today feeling
like yesterday
and tomorrow
at the same
time.

Truth or Dare
Truth or dare?” she giggled.
I took a drink. Didn't feel like having to get up and do something. “Dare.”
“Hmm...” Tapping her chin with a finger. “What do you want more than anything?”
I looked at her. Didn't respond. She smiled coyly, shifting her weight forwards on her knees. This wasn't even a gambit to her; of course, I would come around. I thought about it, took another drink.
It usually didn't take this long for anyone to answer her. Probably no time at all. “What do you want more than anything?” she repeated.
“I want my dreams to come...

Castles of Dreams
Drifting off each night
To endless thoughts of
Losing myself in gorgeous eyes,
Unraveling a deep soulful tale.
Supple voluptuous flesh
Provoking my ache for you.
Replaying your soothing velvety
Delicious voice,
Quieting the chaos.
Unleashing a sweet storm
Striking lightning bolts through my core.
Heart pumping,
Blood rushing,
Throbbing to feel your touch.
I stare up at the sky
Of my mind’s eye,
Envisioning
You the Glorious Goddess.
Hands interlocked
Slowly strolling
To our shangri-la ...

Candle Dance
Clash of symbols
Screech of strings
Trill of flutes
Her body dances like
The single flame
of a candle
In her votive of black glass
The wax she is
consuming is mine—
my love is
fuel for her flickering light
which may only last so long
best to stay close
keep close to
That vivid little flame
and revel in its heat
before we both become
Used up.

Quenched
I was different,
the exception to the rule,
until time ticked more slowly,
the hours with you rolled seamlessly,
& suddenly turned into a countless number of days,
sunrises shared,
sunsets spent,
you waited eagerly,
for me,
led me farther from my sanity,
deep into a fantasy,
you the main character,
with so much to say,
& I hung upon every word that left your lips,
as you bit down on mine,
sipping the light from my soul,
letting it replenish that which you had lost long ago,
you drank me up,

Rendezvous
Destiny and I
Sipping on tea quietly.
Clouds kissing hillsides.
The planks below creaked.
The monk knelt lost in prayer.
The King had arrived.

Clouds kissing hillsides.
The planks below creaked.
The monk knelt lost in prayer.

Cold Grey Sun
Cold Grey Sun is up in the sky
with his friends, tiny stars shining bright.
When its light reaches the land
wakes the owl, wakes the bat
singing his waking song
in his canorous ultrasonic sound.
And in my bed, I lie
with my gal beside.
I look into her eyes
they are deep as the sea—
and the sea is the book she writes.
Inscribing her poetry on the waves
so I ride on the waves,
to keep on turning the pages
As her flesh is above mine,
she moves like a poetic rhyme.
Her bosoms rest upon my chest,
as...

Fading Away
Some moments knock on our doors
After which you forget your life after a while
The life you had before.
Things you cherish and hold dear
are like pearls on a string.
Cut the knot, they scatter
across the floor,
Rolling into dark corners,
never to be found again.
So you move on.
And eventually you forget
you forget what the pearls even looked like.
...
or at the very least, you try.
After which you forget your life after a while
The life you had before.
Things you cherish and hold dear

Rolling into dark corners,
never to be found again.

And eventually you forget
you forget what the pearls even looked like.
