LOVE POEM

Broken
She sits in her room
Quiet and helpless
Afraid of the world around her
Afraid of being hurt again
He caused so much pain
He left her in her time of need
She can no longer trust
He shattered her dreams
He broke her heart
She built a wall
She let him inside
She rebuilt those walls
But out of glass
He became bored
And shattered them
With one tiny pebble
He left her
The shattered glass
Cut and scarred
She's left with shards
Embedded in her skin
The memories may fade
But one sense
Can reel them back in...

Not Yet
Her heart so fragile
Shattered in an instant
Her smile so sweet
Faded too quick
The words hurt her
Like no other pain
When he said he was leaving
She broke down
Tears welled in her eyes
She cried and cried
They felt like acid
They stained her pillow
They made her choke
Her spirit died that night
No longer was she the same
No more happiness
Only depression
Dark clouds blurred her vision
Where had the sun gone?
He took it with him
And it will never return
Her life without him is hell
She wants to die...

For So Long
Your voice is comforting
Your touch, electric
Your kiss, mesmerizing
Your love, amazing
So hard to stay away
But terrifying to be close
It's hard to know
Will I be hurt again?
Will I hurt you?
How can I know
If you're "the one"
I truly love you
But do you feel the same?
Will you tell me?
Why lead me on?
Why confuse me?
Abuse my emotions
And take advantage
Make me live
Then kill me quick
I die everyday
Knowing you don't care
You never did
But maybe you will
I wish you'd save me
I know...

I think of you
I have insomnia
And you're the cure
Be my lullaby
Help me sleep soundly
Make me feel safe
In your arms
Bring back my true smile
Throw out the mask I've worn
I was hidden for so long
Set me free
I don't want to take your time
I'll make this short and sweet
I love you to death
I wish you felt the same way
I think of you

Gone
A black room
Quiet and calm
Only him alone
Time to think
That's all he needs
A wrenching pain
Stings his arm
Why enter this room?
His shirt becomes damp
Why is it red?
Blade in hand
Still no memory
He thinks
"Had I caused this?
Does this blade hold the key?"
He doesn't know where he is
When he will be home
He hovers
Seeing his family crying
He's being ripped away,
Away from his body
His mom is sobbing
His dad comforting
His sister can't speak
A bright flash
It's all over now

My Nightmares
When I am asleep,
You are my nightmare
The devil of my thoughts
The monster in my mind
Sleep isn't so bad,
As long as I don't dream
Because once I do,
It's only of you
My dreams fool me
They make me think you care
But you don't
This I know very well
You used to care,
What happened to that?
"We drifted apart"
But that's bull crap
I wish you were
My sweet dreams again

My dreams destroy me
They make me weak
Kill me now ...

Us
I don't want to walk along the beach,
I want to walk along the freeway
I don't want to kiss in the rain,
I want to kiss in the desert
I don't want to spend a day at the lake,
I want to spend a day in the cemetary
I don't want to go to the park,
I want to mess around with things at the store
I don't want to love like everyone,
I want to love like we do
I don't want to make everybody's memories,
I want to make our own memories
I want to walk along the freeway

The Blade of Love
Watch the blade
Create a clean cut
Straight through your heart
Deeper and deeper
Everytime those words
Escape your sweet lips
The words, so bittersweet
Are amazingly deadly
My wish is my death
I love you
Is more like bull crap
The lies won't heal me
They're like a knife
The more you say it
The deeper it cuts
When they're taken out
You bleed more than normal
They are eternal
The wound healed over
The knife you disruptively
Ripped away from my heart

Runaway young child
Mommy never loved
Daddy left and you're blamed

Beaten and confused
"This isn't my fault"

The Note
She waited for him
But he never showed
Finally he had asked her
But that night
That awful night
It had rained so hard
She had no idea
He was so excited to see her
He didn't pay attention
He veered off the road
Into the bank
They found him
But it was too late
As he was awaiting help
He wrote a note
Her name on the front
Inside it read:
"I'm sorry this happened
The excitement overwhelmed
The rain fell too hard
I lost control
I will watch over you
I've loved you for years
I never had the courage...
But he never showed

Pounds of make up
Cover her face
If only they saw
What she wished to erase
Long shirts and jackets
Cover her arms

The blood and scars
Beaten and bruised
She feels alone
Destroyed and reused
How much more
Can she take?
These feelings
She cannot shake
Her mother turns her back
To her one "mistake"
While he attacks
He's the reason
For the make up
