Beer Truth
Corona Is a beer I like, served with salt and lime
Now a well known virus cell, Deadly~though not a crime.
Known in days of Pharohs’ rule, feared throughout the land.
Reengineered and armed with spikes, moving through our glands.
They said it started In the East, Wuhan was the city
Quarantined from all the world, making us feel pity.
Masks are our protection, if we believe in myths,
Population control on point, manipulated Seth.
Doctors were arrested, ordinary citizens killed
They sacrificed life and limb, To see our futures...

Routines
Dunkin Donuts was my spot, each morning before work,
Without their coffee helping me, my duties I might shirk.
Each morning eyelids stayed shut down, until my first hot sip,
Adept I was though half asleep, I never burnt my lip.
The cashier always flashed a smile then gave a donut free,
I wondered why but never asked, perhaps she just liked me.
One morning it was storming, my clothes were drenched right through,
The cashier turned and said no good, let's get you dry before your brew.
She led me to the restroom, with towels in her hand,
Took off...

Juxtapositional Brain Loss
Perplexing silhouette of fading thoughts
What once was, and is, in this tangled web now caught.
Romantic escapades once prevalent now gone
Dial it back so I can see it once more please, here's the phone.
Destiny now snares this aging shell with multitudes of past memories.
Host of physical and mental indulgences that were only temporary.
Captured moments photographed now useless pieces of paper,
Episodes of life's seemingly important moments reduced to another Hollywood-ish caper.
Price paid for our humanity now a harsh reality,
Sacrifices...

Essence of Love
Marijuana was her name, she greeted you with smoke
Bringing smiles to all who dared, incited many jokes.
Ganja, Weed, Grass and Pot, just to name a few,
Other names she called herself, the best blend purple and blue.
We met by chance when I was young, an accidental greeting,
She teased me with her sexy scent, it had me from that meeting.
Afraid I was to hit the joint, I opted to observe,
A contact high took hold of me, it threw me for a curve.
Never had I felt like this, the feeling was outrageous,
So good it was I had a plan to make this...

Capitalism At Its Best
Blinking Lights
Outlandish sights
Feeling Free
Lacking sea
Silent night
Full of fright
Numbing pain
Alone again!
Destruction of humanity raging like the muddy waters of a typhoon drowning a small Philippine village.
Barren soul incapable of feeling pain being inflicted on innocents by a torturous selfish society.
Hunger gives way to starvation, because of the lack of food, yet so much is wasted by 1% of a decadent population.
Pink slime camouflages itself as something digestible by our frail bodies and yet we eat.

Inevitable Destruction
Harness the rainbow
shelter from the sun
bind all the moonbeams
teach the rain to run.
Stop the wind from blowing
mend the broken earth
melt all the snow that falls
inspire this rebirth
Challenge mother nature
destroy father time
shoot the birds in the sky
make all the tree leaves chime.
Dare the day to hold its wake
kill the night’s intent
murder heaven because you can
teach your soul to vent.
These are things we dare not try
they make no sense to man
but yet destruction we allow
it's time to...
