Excerpt from a letter
I realized today that I wasn’t right for you anymore. That love drove both of us insane, and it was everything but healthy. But I still hope that one day, you’ll look over to the stars, and remember me. You’ll forgive me for having left my love turn to hatred, an anger so deep that I could feel our love turning into ashes in my mouth. You will remember those cold nights we spent out in the snow, under the light of the streetlamps and the moon. You will remember this very first kiss, that made peace in your tormented mind. We Are The Ones
We are the ones lost in the waves of our lives,
We are the ones being taken for granted,
We are the ones who fell from the hives,
We are the ones who won’t be chanted,
We are the ones trying to fight death,
We are the ones trying to bring back life,
We are the ones with smoker breaths,
We are the ones always hanging on society’s knife,
We are the ones without a happy ending,
We are the ones to paper our words lending,
We are the ones bending yet not breaking,
We are the ones always aching,
We are poets.

Burn
Every cell of my body in a fire is tremendously burning,
As your cheeks lightly red-up when I compliment you,
Oh, I love to leave your heart beating and eyes yearning,
It is a sweet revenge to see your heart and body lighting up too.
Sadly you foolishly tried to play another game,
Our set of cards couldn’t handle such treason,
And even though I can’t say that you are to blame,
You threw gasoline on my heart annihilating all my reason.
My whole corpse is set alight in the velvet night,
This fire once pleasant is now destroying me,

Apologies
All these hopes you placed in me make me tumble,
As they so abruptly tremendously crumble,
Nothing shall be meant to end this way,
But you need to understand that I rarely do things halfway.
I am sorry for holding on,
When I should have withdrawn.
I meant everything to you and your hazel eyes,
And pushing you to edges was surely unwise,
Since it did nothing but tear us apart,
And leave our beloved path to finally part.
I am sorry for destroying you,
And hurting myself too.

Your Poem
I am not famous nor wealthy,
In fact, I am nothing but a writer,
In the arms of the night I wander, stealthy,
I’m not strong, I am not a fighter,
I have nothing to offer but a few words,
Accept them to enlighten both of our worlds.
I could give you a thousand stars,
But against the moon,
I shall take no wars,
For that the sun would destroy me at noon,
Those are a few verses for you to cherish,
Please water them to not let them perish.
I could bring you flowers everyday,
But those only fade away,
And their petals...

Ode to Antonia
You are filled with pure delight,
And with a single touch you ignite,
My darkest parts, as if you were playing,
With the mask I’ve tremendously been portraying.
Every beat of my heart is for you,
And every breath too.
Your eyes mesmerize my body,
And can’t help but disembody,
My soul, freeing it from its shackles,
Helping me to fight my little battles.
Every wink of my eyes is for you,
And every stare too.
The world isn’t easy on you and yet you smile,
It’s unsettling to see someone so versatile,
Fighting in...

Subway
If there is one thing I hate,
It must be the subway,
He can make me irate,
By throwing me to disarray.
My heart stops beating,
As your foot steps the metallic cage,
And from my world are slowly retreating,
Forcing me to disengage.
Without turning back he races,
Taking you to some new places,
But each one of them are way too far,
And make me miss my little star.
Oh subway, how can you be so spiteful?
Stealing my heart from my chest,
Placing me at your behest,
Forcing me to tell goodbye to my beautiful.

Between the hammer and the anvil,
I seem to float at standstill,
My hand slowing going through your black hair,
A tender caress filled with despair.
I do not care for tonight,
So please, let me be your knight,
I draw my sword and you open your sheath,
And here we go, in a few rapid breaths.
Your body is a work of art,
And I am at its heart,
I sculpted everything since its start,
And now am begging for a restart.
Your freedom attracts me between your legs,
Filled from a hundred men’s dregs,

An angel in a dark world coming straight from heaven,
Nothing can stop your light from brightly shining,
Two eyes making me feel again as if I were seven,

Ghost
Tonight a goodbye shall be spoken,
And a billion dreams broken.
Why am I feeling so much guilt, when it was your feet going through the door?
Why do I still want to, in your arms, watch the shore?
How many tears shall fall to finally be free from your chain?
How many friends should I make smile for mine to finally remain?
I won’t forget your voice nor your face,
And nothing will stop me from seeing you in the clouds,
For that I am still haunted by your marvelous grace,
Even in the middle of the most enormous crowds.

Envy
Since we are nothing but the shadow of the one we expected,
Since by your absence, I am now affected,
Since I learned that lesson, that we forget too easily, when we believe too hard,
Since I got hurt in our love’s shards,
Since I am sad not to be as useful to your happiness, as you are to mine,
Since in other arms you now shine,
Since a green-eyed monster keeps growing inside me,
Since everything we believed in will never be,
Since you make it hard to smile, by making it hard to breathe,
Since the only thing I seem to do is seethe,
Let’s face it,...
