Such a thing
You bring light and life into my world. You are the ignition of creation. You are the beginning of a wave in the middle of the ocean. You have gravity. You have power.
Every minute, every second, every instant that I have with you is a gift. The culmination of my life has led to this Now.
I will not let loose one breath without gratitude. My world hums in time with your song.

Fire and ice.
Water and stone.
Steel and silk.
Love and hate.
Fury and concern.
The new normal.
The same old.
The future is clouded.
The now is volatile.
Nothing is certain.
Change is constant.
The weight of growth,
On weary student.
