I feel like
you're running through my mind
so much now
all of the time..
The things
I think about
when I think about you
it gives me the giggles
and hot flashes too..
All the excitement
and the nervousness I feel
reminds how much
this passion is real
So much
all at one time
I pray that it doesn't
make me go blind.

SPIRITUAL POEM

Dark
As I stand behind this gate,
it's a prison I might see,
but only when I closed my eyes,
I saw that it was free.
I walk around in darkness,
afraid of every light,
for whatever would I get,
if I never lived in fright?
Consumed by all the heat,
that permeates the ground,
Am I bound by hell,
or Heaven have I found?
I see now in the darkness,
when I look from deep within,
it's there I find the chains,
that kept me tangled in.
Sometimes I want the madness,
for then I feel alive,
but...
it's a prison I might see,
but only when I closed my eyes,
I saw that it was free.
I walk around in darkness,

Prayers
Lord,
I asked you for the peace
that you placed inside my heart.
I know that when I live in you,
I won't be torn apart.
Anxious are my nerves
when I listen with my pain.
Being stuck inside my hell
will never bring me gain.
I will not get to live in faith
if I let that sickness grow.
Please protect my mind
and do not let me go.
I want to stay in you
with all that I may be.
Peaceful is your presence,
it's you who sets me free.
When I ask for new beginnings,
there are things...

Purgatory
Demolished by the will of self,
has left my soul behind.
I get into these moments,
where fear can tell me lies.
Consumed by the distraction,
I set up my demise.
Illusions from the feelings,
that live inside my mind.
Saturate the picture,
as tears make me go blind.
I'm stuck inside a force field,
with a toe tag on my foot.
Screaming out for help,
but no one stops to look.
The dreams I had all perish,
from the body I abused.
Broken down and tattered,
from all that I amused.

Angel
God has sent me an angel
To remind me to pray.
The power of His word
All day long, I will stay.
To praise Him, hallelujah,
Is the highest accord.
For in the presence of His grace,
I am always adored.
When I am weak,
Or when I am strong,
I can be in His presence
All the day long.
I know in His faith,
He will give me the strength
To carry His grace
In all that I think.
I'm reminded that this world
Shall give me no fear,
For when I am connected to Him,
All will be clear.

I THOUGHT WE HAD TOMORROW
LIKE MANY TIMES BEFORE
THIS TIME IS SO MUCH DIFFERENT
WITH PAIN I CAN'T IGNORE..
WE'VE GROWN THROUGH MANY MOMENTS
TRIALS AND SOME TEARS
WE ALMOST MADE IT TO A TIME
WE WOULD CELEBRATE ONE YEAR..
AS I LOOK TO THE REBUILDING
OF A LIFE THAT CHANGED THAT DAY
I SEE A RAINBOW IN THE SKY

I wrote you down on paper
then I sealed it with a kiss..
placed inside the bottle
you were always missed..
Anger from my actions
kept you out to sea..
The hole I have inside my heart
is where you'll always be..
One-day I found your bottle
as you spoke the words I've missed..
To hear the sounds of your voice
is what I've always wished..
Confusion by delusion

I ask myself the question
where to go from here
The answer quickly comes
I've fuled my love with fear..
As I laid my eyes upon you
my heart sunk to the floor
for I knew
In that very moment
I could never want you more..
As we talk about our feelings
lighter we become
woke into reality
no longer are we numb..

My body starts to cave

I take a breath from deep within
These words chase after me..
Searching through the chapters
some patterns start to show
moments where I held my breath
then ones I let it go..
Delusions warp the bookshelf
From the swell of tears I’ve cried
This book I’ve placed upon it
Has now begun to thrive..
This book has lost some pages
By tattered spine they fall
From black and white to color
My light shines bright for all..
No longer...
As I close my eyes to see

I met myself a woman
who changed my life one day
she came in like a shining star
and took my breath away..

about the life that I once had

where I was drunk and sad..

that I had never healed
