The Surgeon
Slowly regaining consciousness
To the sight of something ominous
A table full of surgical tools
From my mouth blood drools
My eyes quickly scan the room
A musty dampness lingers
My body strapped down in this tomb
When I noticed missing fingers
A haunting drip of water
Echoes through the stagnant air
Fear of my impending slaughter
But all I can do is stare
In the room a surgeon appears ...

Sick Algorithm
Another unbalanced calculation
That's keeping you out of the equation
A formula that is rather puzzling
Enjoying while they watch your struggling
Controlling your life, the rich and elites
A vicious cycle that constantly repeats
Feeding addictions corruption and greed
Tears are never cried when they see you bleed
These people sadly consumed by power
They have no remorse, your soul they devour
Eating you up before spitting you out
They take everything leaving you without
You are just a number in their...

Torture/Reward
Why do we push through so much pain
Are we crazy, are we insane
Why do we fight such a losing battle
Rowing upstream in life without a paddle
Swimming against the current, walking uphill
Done for self torture or done for the thrill
Boulders are obstacles in our lifes fields
Is it too risky or rewards will it yeld
Challenges in life come way too fast
The destiny we choose determines our path
When knocked out we can stay down
Or confront our fears refusing to turn...

Roadkill Heaven
Its time for our family vacation
A chance for peace and relaxation
So we packed up and left our abode
Heading down the local country road
Our white suv is the transportation
We will use to get to our destination
Across the state is where we're headed
Family time is fun but driving is dreaded
Playing games during this road trip
My wife distracted when the squirrel skipped
Right up under the right rear tire
My wife screamed, my daughter the crier
She pulled over quite visibly shaken

This unsettling fear of heights
Damm this acrophobia
Panicked by the fear of flight
Can't land my aerophobia
Dogs and spiders are terrifying
Cynophobia and arachnophobia

Triskaidekaphobia
Determined I'm ready to face my fears
Unwinding my clock as destiny nears
Climbing each step with anticipation
Every step a memory of lifes frustration
Decisions made have poisoned my demons
Confined in this trap for many reasons
Lost in a world I can't escape
This is my chance to control my fate
I've finally reached the top, the 12th floor
Now searching for the roof access door
Climbing the ladder to my dystopia
Finally overcoming triskaidekaphobia
The 13th floor on this rooftop it lies...

The Iceberg
I should have saw it coming
It was right there in front of me
But reality is mind numbing
In my darkness I couldn't see
I've lost sight where I'm heading
And I've sailed way off course
Conversations that I'm dreading
And my actions making life worse
I could have had everything
But instead I chose nothing
My life hanging by a string
Consequences never bluffing
I knew there still was hope
Opportunities for a detour
But instead of loosening the rope ...
It was right there in front of me
But reality is mind numbing

This land of the devil
Has our minds disheveled
Fires burning scorched earth
Flames enshroud our rebirth
Fog of torturous screams
Hate fuels our lucid dreams
Dreaming but fully aware
Our actions beyond despair
On our throne defiant
In our hands Satan's trident
Staring with bloodshot eyes
Victims of his vicious lies
On our heads horns form
With the wicked we conform

Opposites Dependent
I've seen the darkness
And I've seen the light
Hidden in lifes secrets
Truth reveals our insight
I've experienced love
And the heartache of pain
A range of emotions
Driving me insane
You can't have one
Without the other
Opposites dependent
On one another
A colorful prism
Of spectacular rainbows
Darkness hides within
The absence of shadows
Money in the bank
Could mean wealth
But poverty in our souls
Leads to our unhealth
We live our life
Until we confront death ...

Two parties that should be formidable
One whose candidate appears unstable
The other with someone more than able
But incompetent is how they're labeled
Fake news consumes the uneducable
The sycophants helping to enable
Perception, realities portrayal
Elements change periodic tables
Losing value America's appraisal
Our constitutional betrayal
Results random and unpredictable
With consequences inexplicable
