POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
You guys are the first to ever read my poems, not sure if I should say I'm sorry or you're welcome.
Missing You
Familiar smiling eyes shining at the pretty blonde
Head thrown back, deep rumble, laughing
Hey eyes assess as if to undress
Red rosy hue painting her flawless skin
The butterflies erupting
Remembering
They were once mine
Jealousy evades
Rain drops fall
Looking up blue skies
And down a spring leaks
Sleep deprived and starved
Yet I smile knowing
He is happy
Head thrown back, deep rumble, laughing
Hey eyes assess as if to undress
Red rosy hue painting her flawless skin
The butterflies erupting
Remembering
They were once mine
Jealousy evades
Rain drops fall
Looking up blue skies
And down a spring leaks
Sleep deprived and starved
Yet I smile knowing
He is happy

Hidden Eyes
Monsters in my closet please leave me be
Dad just tucked me in and I can smell the whiskey
Monsters in my closet I'm not in the mood today
Mom took off and left and I'm very afraid
Monsters in my closet you are not alone
There are far worse monsters, in this home
Monsters in my closet you can laugh and sneer
I loaded my dads pistol and I have no fear
Monsters in my closet I'm no longer scared
A man came out my closet with these words he shared
Monsters in my closet I no longer submit
For he redeems my life from this direful pit
Dad just tucked me in and I can smell the whiskey
Monsters in my closet I'm not in the mood today
Mom took off and left and I'm very afraid
Monsters in my closet you are not alone
There are far worse monsters, in this home
Monsters in my closet you can laugh and sneer
I loaded my dads pistol and I have no fear
Monsters in my closet I'm no longer scared
A man came out my closet with these words he shared
Monsters in my closet I no longer submit
For he redeems my life from this direful pit

Forever Searching
I went to sleep holding my heart
Only to awake with it torn apart
The pieces amiss and now astray
I look for them each and every day
Emptiness abounds in leaps
Sadness begins to creep
In hopes happiness may find
The one who left me behind
Only to awake with it torn apart
The pieces amiss and now astray
I look for them each and every day
Emptiness abounds in leaps
Sadness begins to creep
In hopes happiness may find
The one who left me behind
