Born Again
Deeper darker aways inside,
slips the demons of our mind
down the spiral of our lives
round the iris of our eye
the sleeper waits, bides its time
nonchalantly sees and yet is blind,
fear’s eater grows fat and smiles
steps a new born baby’s strides
grins a grin flecked with fire
speaks its first words: liar.
