POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I write what my soul whispers to me.
I Can't Breathe Anymore
Seems to me that my favorite soul
completely means to let me go
I'm just one step away from the scene
I'll try to get there early
You have me tied to the wrist
it burns inside to hear you call
You have me tied to the wrist
I can't breathe anymore
Driving sleepy the streets look sharp
trying hard to stay awake
coming in through the drive-way
where your standing in the rain
You have me tied to the wrist
it burns inside to hear you call
You have me tied to the wrist
I can't breathe anymore
completely means to let me go
I'm just one step away from the scene
I'll try to get there early
You have me tied to the wrist
it burns inside to hear you call
You have me tied to the wrist
I can't breathe anymore
Driving sleepy the streets look sharp
trying hard to stay awake
coming in through the drive-way
where your standing in the rain
You have me tied to the wrist
it burns inside to hear you call
You have me tied to the wrist
I can't breathe anymore

My Night-Long Laments for My Murderer
The bedsheets still smell like perfume
from the last time we made love
letters still lay scattered on the floor
written in a fashionable lament
the lies we're told through fists and fights
through the tears and the heartache
they scarred me deep as I cried myself to sleep
feeling less than ordinary
exhausted from the screaming and yelling
I retreated to our room
wrapping myself in the sex scented air
of your lovers perfume
from the last time we made love
letters still lay scattered on the floor
written in a fashionable lament
the lies we're told through fists and fights
through the tears and the heartache
they scarred me deep as I cried myself to sleep
feeling less than ordinary
exhausted from the screaming and yelling
I retreated to our room
wrapping myself in the sex scented air
of your lovers perfume

Dark Letters 3
I feel nothing more inside
whatever happiness
I felt before
is gone out the door with you
You were my love and my friend
you and only you understood me
in every aspect of my being
I am the ruin and rubble
of your stricken words of
hate and anger
I wish it were otherwise
to turn back the hands of time
to perhaps change some things
in our past but then i wouldn't
have been able to feel something
if I had not knowned
nothing first.
whatever happiness
I felt before
is gone out the door with you
You were my love and my friend
you and only you understood me
in every aspect of my being
I am the ruin and rubble
of your stricken words of
hate and anger
I wish it were otherwise
to turn back the hands of time
to perhaps change some things
in our past but then i wouldn't
have been able to feel something
if I had not knowned
nothing first.

Dark Letters 2
I am pulled by my limbs
in every direction
countered by lust and greed
dismembered lying on the
floor of my room
only because I lack the light
to show me the way to your heart
Your eyes I see them in my dreams
in the midst of shadows
surrounding me
and I try to stretch my arms
out to find you
and hold on yet I am restricted
from reaching you
This restriction evades and I
awake to find myself
alone once again
without you
in every direction
countered by lust and greed
dismembered lying on the
floor of my room
only because I lack the light
to show me the way to your heart
Your eyes I see them in my dreams
in the midst of shadows
surrounding me
and I try to stretch my arms
out to find you
and hold on yet I am restricted
from reaching you
This restriction evades and I
awake to find myself
alone once again
without you

Remembrances
I took off my glasses so that my eyes
could rest easy for a little while
I sat in the dark looking out my screenless
window as my thoughts searched themselves
The neighbors house across the street
sat silently under and arc of leafless trees
The streetlamps flickered on
while the birds found places to sleep
I sat there thinking
remembering when the rain fell innocently
and its haunting scent
casting me remembrances
could rest easy for a little while
I sat in the dark looking out my screenless
window as my thoughts searched themselves
The neighbors house across the street
sat silently under and arc of leafless trees
The streetlamps flickered on
while the birds found places to sleep
I sat there thinking
remembering when the rain fell innocently
and its haunting scent
casting me remembrances

Thou Measures Love As a Fluke
Am I not worth the breath I breathe
worth the words my mouth conceives
worth the blood that courses these veins
am I not worth anything
By what measure of thine trust
can mend the past of which thoust come from
that such hearts fade into darkness
yet when light resurfaces Does she
not know that thou
can love again?
Under the heavens I beseech thy love
and kneel before thy feet knightly
to show that I am of noble
longing
That my love embraces all that thou are
from the moon and to the stars
I love thee
worth the words my mouth conceives
worth the blood that courses these veins
am I not worth anything
By what measure of thine trust
can mend the past of which thoust come from
that such hearts fade into darkness
yet when light resurfaces Does she
not know that thou
can love again?
Under the heavens I beseech thy love
and kneel before thy feet knightly
to show that I am of noble
longing
That my love embraces all that thou are
from the moon and to the stars
I love thee

Empty Ship
Spent all my time sailing
on an empty ship
going wherever I chose
There was always some reason
why I quit on love
cause my heart kept breaking in two
on an empty ship
going wherever I chose
There was always some reason
why I quit on love
cause my heart kept breaking in two

A Timeless Tryst
Coincidentally our emptiness flushed
through our mouths
as our souls lips kissed
my eyes meeting with yours
and in an breathless instant
time ceased to exist
sealing us in a timeless tryst
Lovers we were once
as moments of this sweet dream commenced
leaving our tongues wet
Our souls twisting
turning and burning
asphyxiated
we sank deeper into the fever
of this kiss
which rippled through our bodies
releasing me weightless beneath yours
kissing breathlessly
dying deathly
we perished
through our mouths
as our souls lips kissed
my eyes meeting with yours
and in an breathless instant
time ceased to exist
sealing us in a timeless tryst
Lovers we were once
as moments of this sweet dream commenced
leaving our tongues wet
Our souls twisting
turning and burning
asphyxiated
we sank deeper into the fever
of this kiss
which rippled through our bodies
releasing me weightless beneath yours
kissing breathlessly
dying deathly
we perished

Breathing the October Sky
I pulled the blankets
over me
just a little to stay
snug and warm
to breathe in the silence
of the stars
hearing the nature of
nights' sounds
ensnaring my senses
to listen carefully
In this orchestrated
symphony of the night
the coolness
of a lingering fog
settled lightly
upon my skin
seasoning its
presence thin
breathing the
October sky
over me
just a little to stay
snug and warm
to breathe in the silence
of the stars
hearing the nature of
nights' sounds
ensnaring my senses
to listen carefully
In this orchestrated
symphony of the night
the coolness
of a lingering fog
settled lightly
upon my skin
seasoning its
presence thin
breathing the
October sky

Trials of Love's Judgement
What more of me shall suffice
I've poured my heart's content
of what I am no more no less
a stringless puppet
Here I stand a naked man
I've stripped myself of stubborn pride
so that I may listen to understand
what kinds of thorns grow
on your hands
Your touch to my skin
is like that of a rose petal
and after a thousand years
I know now why you have stayed
cause my love means more
than all the heartache
I've poured my heart's content
of what I am no more no less
a stringless puppet
Here I stand a naked man
I've stripped myself of stubborn pride
so that I may listen to understand
what kinds of thorns grow
on your hands
Your touch to my skin
is like that of a rose petal
and after a thousand years
I know now why you have stayed
cause my love means more
than all the heartache

Dreaming of Death
In dreams I've dreamt have I entered in death
still breathing each breath till nothing was left
In these dreams I've dreamed of dying it seems
to me but just a dream of dying in a dream
This death it feels as cold as steel pressed
upon the temples it feels deathly at best
But what good can death bring what gifts from
the dream can wake me now from this deathly realm
That life is but a blink of the eye by what means
does this dream mean but death and death's
embrace of dying it seems
still breathing each breath till nothing was left
In these dreams I've dreamed of dying it seems
to me but just a dream of dying in a dream
This death it feels as cold as steel pressed
upon the temples it feels deathly at best
But what good can death bring what gifts from
the dream can wake me now from this deathly realm
That life is but a blink of the eye by what means
does this dream mean but death and death's
embrace of dying it seems

The Ink Pen
What more can be written when words
begin to whisper from the writer's pen
this vendetta of silent ancestry
If ever my heart were to cease from life
let those who hear listen in rife
of all I've written a travesty
If I leave the world unannounced
forgive me God if words pronounce
the severity of my thoughts
in words distraught
begin to whisper from the writer's pen
this vendetta of silent ancestry
If ever my heart were to cease from life
let those who hear listen in rife
of all I've written a travesty
If I leave the world unannounced
forgive me God if words pronounce
the severity of my thoughts
in words distraught
