I never knew from my first years of school to the end I never knew,
the days dragged on the sorrow hidden by a lie,
nobody knew and nobody cared they had a group of friends a life,
I was locked up hoping to die day after day,
week after week, they all blurred together,
then it was just me in a world of darkness trying to claw my way out,
I never knew all I had to do was call for somebody,
Somebody new, Somebody different, Somebody lost in the darkness with me so I gave up,
I gave in the nasty thoughts,
the pit which only goes deeper and deeper each...

I have been asked many times what is poetry,
they ask for honesty and I try to do my best to complete this never ending quest,
so here is my answer to this question.  
Poetry is emotions and every feeling one feels in a Song that has no music
a song that has yet to have a voice to be spoken,a thought or a memory,
written to rhyme with a deeper meaning than one will ever know,
as time goes on it will be found and lost,
it will be reiterated and told,
but the meaning of this music will never unfold in a manner
we cannot wish or dream of it...
