Ah, so you too find comfort with pen and paper? I am glad to know that I am not the only one. Stop by for a chat sometime. - Sincerely, Miss Kay
Mad Girl
It speaks to her in little whispers as she spirals downward into a realm that they call depression.
They never explained to her what was wrong all they told was that she could not bleed,
she could not leave the world that she had to live in all alone. Easily manipulated,
poor sickly thing that I see every day that I look into the mirror.
What is wrong with her?
Her heart is dead,
mind is split,
what has happen?
She use to be so strong, until now...
What did you do?
You told her you would stay with her and then you left her with a stranger, ...

The Ballad of the Runaway
Pack up my bags and I'm told to get out.
At age of sixteen by my mother no doubt.
She beat me up until I was bruised and bleeding.
Then told me to get up and get out of her life.
With those words that was the last jab of the knife.
And so I am on the road with two bags on my back
plenty of layers to protect me from the cold, hopefully they'll be enough.
The highway is busy and loud as can be.
I stick out my thumb to the cars whizzing past me.
Black hair blowing in the wind and none of these people will offer to be a friend.
To some poor runaway that...

Gone
Gone
Alone
Left Behind
Breaking my heart
And losing my mind
You were here
Now you're not.
Gone
Alone
Left Behind
I love you
I need you
I miss you
Come Back
You were all that I ever had.
Alone
Left Behind
Breaking my heart
And losing my mind
You were here
Now you're not.
Gone
Alone
Left Behind
I love you
I need you
I miss you
Come Back
You were all that I ever had.

Your Sugar Sits Untouched
Today in the courtyard sitting tied in many skirts,
I sat waiting for you to have some tea with me.
We always sit together and talk about our days,
no matter what the day may bring, rain clouds
or sunshine rays. I hold my fan slightly from my face,
like all of the ladies of my class do if to be flirtatious
or to keep themselves cool.
I like to hide myself behind my fan,
from this world that I have been forced to live in.
I always thought that I was ahead of my time,
not suppose to live in this life.
Where I must wait and obey until I...

Missing You
The dreams began after you left.
Dreams in which I was alone and I screamed your name
and you never came.
Those dreams became nightmares and those nightmares became my life,
they wouldn't let me sleep and so I stayed up all night staring at nothing
and wanting nothing more than to see you appear in my room like a ghost.
Rumors said that you had met someone else,
others said you were going to live your dream,
many said you were never coming back.
I cried those lonely nights when I thought about you and realized how much I needed you.
How I was...

Mother Knows Best
"A child shall respect thy mother. . ."
She says these words to her daughter who kneels before her on the wooden floor as she holds the ceramic brush in her hand. The woman had blonde hair that curled slightly around her face and sapphire blue eyes, she looked down at her daughter with anger and spite. Her daughter didn't adver her emerald green eyes from the floor, but instead hid her tears under her recently dyed black hair. The hair was why her mother was so angry, the daughter had been born with her mother's blonde hair while she was given her father's eyes. Her...

Dead To Me
Alone in this world unknowing what to expect a lost little girl searching for her dad. Dads are suppose to protect their little girls from to pain. But you betrayed me and made me into the blame. You left me alone without a good-bye. You said that I was dead in your eyes. And so I went through my days afraid that you would return and that you would finish what you attempted last time, trying to end your daughter's life. All I could hear was you saying that I am dead to you and after many days and nights I figured why not make it true. Found an old rope and tied to the side of a bridge, the...

Broken
I will never work right for any people who think that I can be fixed.
I am broken; each piece that had at one time worked has been scattered and battered.
I will never act normal if you are gone.
I am traumatized from the ones who have abandoned me.
I will never hurt your feelings.
I am the one whose feelings usually get hurt.
I will always listen.
I am the one use to being ignored.
I will say the truth.
I am the one always lied to.
I will be there for you.
I am the one left alone to defend myself.
I will bleed.
I am the blood.
I will...

If I Was Never Born
If I was never born,
would the world be better off?
If I was never born,
would my parents be happier?
If I was never born,
who would have missed me?
If I was never born,
would my father still drink?
If I was never born,
would my mother be abused?
If I was never born,
would the world have acknowledged my absence?
Or would no one care?
would the world be better off?
If I was never born,
would my parents be happier?
If I was never born,

Blood Ties
Our blood is our only tie.
You are no longer the sun in my eyes.
Our only common bond is the last name that we share.
And the eyes that you gave me through genetics.
You are nothing to me.
I will never be your little girl again.
I hate you.
You are no longer my father.
And you will never tell me differently.
Because. . .
Our only common bond is the last name, the one that is mine as well as yours.
The green eyes that our Irish ancestors passed from them to you and then from you to me.
And our blood, the blood that runs boiling through our veins...
You are no longer the sun in my eyes.
Our only common bond is the last name that we share.
And the eyes that you gave me through genetics.
You are nothing to me.
