My Fate
My mortal fears bring me such sorrow
Not knowing if I'll live through the day or see tomorrow
I lie here in this hospital bed
Tubes up my nose and bad visions fill my head
My work is far from done
The ink yet dry but I know what I've become
I was a hateful man, the love dead and gone
Wasted my years on foolish ideas, everything went so wrong
I feel the Darkness creeping, my inner demons finally taking me home
Where I go was of my making, I chose to live this life alone
I have no children, no love ever came my way
