Resurrecting the dead
the ticking of the clock
took the only one to mock
this voice that will not stop
cease this ceaseless heart!
release me from this prison!
free me from this life so I may be with her in Heaven!
but waiting in agony
to reunite with tragedy
and heart locked in chain
the voice in my head
will not go to bed
a sacrifice is what I’ll need
pentagram drawn beneath the husk of my love
flickering torches casting malicious shadows
a flesh-bound tome perched left-handed

Achievable
when I awoke
my soul ached
for potential scattered at sea
to recover what’s lost
I sought out and bought
one million worker bees
they flew and toiled
drank up and spoiled
every drop there could be
when it was done
I got what I won
it cost me all I could see
with everything dead
me in my head
I sat to set it all right
the world was destroyed
not a soul, just a void
death, my lasting goodbye
my soul ached

All of my life I wanted to try
Dating Death, her by my side
Death assured me this world is a lie
I’m gonna date Death so that I can survive
Hopeless and holeless this is no existence
I sought Death to bring me to life
Death come for me today
Take me away from this terrible place
Death says rest your weary head
Here I now lie in perpetual dread

if I have the coin
to spare a dime
you never seem to fail me
if I’m feeling blue
it’s you I choose
curing what may ail me
no other needs
not friends nor creeds
bliss has taken its stead
I need no one else
I need nothing else
Mary has hold of me

Hail Satan for this daily bread
As God has left me here for dead
Hail Satan for my unconquerable soul

Endless Nights
cycle of nature
of day and night
endlessly churning
through time
the joy of day
stripped away
as night lies
close beside
and sight of the light
being consumed by night
confirms what I know to be true
none can stand against night’s might
all memories of light fade to gray
against this night that won’t go away
all-consuming, all-powerful
perceptions changing, insurmountable
there is no bend to this night that will not end
but light shines in the nick of time
