POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
My scars are my beauty and my words are the gateway into my soul.
Beautiful beast of a bullet.
No need to thank me.
I pull out my gun and shoot.
So long, pretty face.
I pull out my gun and shoot.
So long, pretty face.

Doing nothing.
Failure is fleeting.
Grand is the cost of nothing.
Slowly dying still.
Grand is the cost of nothing.
Slowly dying still.

Zero sense.
A homeless man sits.
Nothing to give but kindness
yet he laughs out loud.
Not in our society -
do his barrels make much sense.

Loose binds
A man born into
Society's perils yearns
to escape his plight
Rattling of his chains in hand -
the man shouts in agony
Instead of more tears
he decides to jump again
off the highest peak
Only to swing from his binds
as he dangles in mid air
Finally, the man resigns
to let his arms fall freely

Silent cry
Death is the answer.
No more nights holding my breath;
waiting for the end.

Her Tragedy: in Haiku
Submission meant for 'You're Always In My Heart' competition.
Little girl in love.
Never wanting to sit still;
thought other men gross.
Huddled together.
Trench coats in dark alleyways.
One too many pokes.
Poison in her veins.
A final kiss goodbye is
just a lie she told.
A camera clicks.
Beautiful her pain may be -
it hurts to look close.
Wilhelmina star:
Gia Marie Carangi -
left to die alone.

Aurora
Aurora,
I know you play games.
I'm aware of your style,
but I've come calling again.
As we touch,
your caress sparks my flame.
The soft allure ,
I'm helpless as a paper crane.
My lovely,
as colourful as an icy sprinkle.
Soft like jelly on the inside;
your shell as hard as a periwinkle.
As the sun kisses the early bird,
I await your unspoken word.
I hear only lovely sounds
as your walls fall down.
Your sweet solace,
fills my empty plate.
In sorrow,
we are no longer irate. ...

Cold desire.
I stand out,
in our pool of desire.
My pelvis flames,
in a ball of fire.
We're dancing close.
I inhale heavy musk.
Here I am,
breathing in your lust.
Pheromones burn,
and then transpire.
Gazing around,
everyone seems wired.
You whisper something,
but I can't quite hear.
The music is loud.
It thumps in my ear.
You reach out,
and bring our lips together.
I feel pangs,
I hope will last forever.
I feel your eyes on my body,
silently beg.
Your touch is a sweet...
in our pool of desire.

Survivor
Grappling to find the will,
the will to survive.
Outstretched,
my palms lay flat like the corners of my mind.
Inside,
a sweet solitude I find.
Without doubt,
there are no questions.
I am left unhinged and free.
Safely, I hide.
Left alone,
uninhibited by time.
The quiet soothes me.
Shadows dance lazily across the ceiling.
I blink once, twice.
It's shape sparks a flicker of memory.
The quiet swiftly stirs
A sharp pang rattles my skull.
Voices begin to grow deafening.
Worry...
the will to survive.

Alone in paradise.
Memories..
Rush out of me in a force like white frothy foam from the sea.
I stop to catch my breath.
My shoulders ache and are bronzed from the hot sun.
For moments, I stand frozen, ensnared in time.
Emotions continue to bubble and boil over.
Far off into the distance, boats loll on gentle waves.
A pang throbs inside my chest and I inhale.
The fragrant scent of ocean air fills my nostrils.
I exhale, sharply.
Light begins to fade into an indigo sunset.
Salt water and sweat...
