POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I think literally & very few things are concrete to me in the way the world works. I love exploring new thoughts & perspectives, no matter how bizarre.
Game Over
A pawn removed.
A rook taken.
Was that the best you could do?
He trampled your forces.
He slaughtered your people.
You picked this fight.
You bloodied his nose.
He tore you to pieces.
You drew us in & bound us all.
You were a fool for ever going after us.
Now you burn or you serve.
Never again shall you harm me or mine because:
It's Game Over.
A rook taken.

He slaughtered your people.
You picked this fight.
You bloodied his nose.
He tore you to pieces.
You drew us in & bound us all.
You were a fool for ever going after us.
Now you burn or you serve.
Never again shall you harm me or mine because:
It's Game Over.

Let The Game Begin
The Statue is cracked. The Boys have done their job.
The King struggles against his fate, fighting for his own.
The Queen waits for the first pawn to move, so that she may disappear as she does.
The Right Bishop screams & rages for blood to spill. How dare anyone keep her from her king!
The Left Bishop writes for Death & waits for the kill.
The Knights both move, ready for battle.
The Right Rook brushes off the snow & stands prepared for the war.
The Left Rook waits for her Father's Sickle to fall, to punish those who would tamper with Death. ...

The South Gate Opens
Her altering heart is cause for grief.
The warmth she gives heals or burns.
She wanders here and there without regard
for the ones she always leaves behind.
An altering heart always turns again
Severing the strings wanted deep within
The other gates must first congregate
and submit to him to still the heart.
when the heart is stilled the strings take hold
and turn her loyalty into gold.
Only one can do this feat
though impossible it seems.
All shout "Foul", "give up", Can't be done!"
But patience will win the day. ...

To Know
To know what is coming
To know why it comes
To see the truth
To warn others of it
To wheel & to deal
To some it seem evil
To others, free will
To some it seems mercy
To try to spare them the pain
To know what is coming
To know is the pain.
Don't ask why we know it.
Don't ask what we say.
We know what is coming.
Just listen, we say.
To know why it comes
To see the truth
To warn others of it
To wheel & to deal
To some it seem evil

To try to spare them the pain

The World Gates
Here they come, one by one.
Here they come: one, two
One by one: three, four.
They gather now
To make their vow & make their bow
First comes North, the arctic man
Next East and West, women from distant land
To bind the South and her wandering heart.
Their master is one
Answers to none.
They all come to be one
At their master's side.
Winds may change
The cold may fall
on one and all.
The gates still come.
Here they come: one, two
One by one: three, four.
They gather now
To make their vow & make their bow
First comes North, the arctic man
Next East and West, women from distant land
To bind the South and her wandering heart.

The gates still come.

Truth
Truth is never simple.
It frees us while binding us.
It devours while it protects.
It confounds while it reveals.
Truth is a contradiction unto itself.
Wise men have said seek Knowledge, but above that, seek Wisdom.
They do not instruct one to seek Truth because it is a potent mistress.
Its potency is matched only by the speed with which it is discarded.
Truth is by far the simplest thing in the world, yet far too complex for men to comprehend.
Truth if sought is found, but who can believe it?
Truth is a hard thing, easily...
It frees us while binding us.
It devours while it protects.
It confounds while it reveals.
Truth is a contradiction unto itself.
Wise men have said seek Knowledge, but above that, seek Wisdom.
They do not instruct one to seek Truth because it is a potent mistress.

Are You There?
Silent Voices whisper in ears
Voices without mouths
Minds without brains
Alone they stand
Who listens to the voices?
Who sees the lonely ones?
Few look,
for fear or disbelief,
They continue to walk in silence.
Until one comes along,
who sees & hears them all.
Most run in fear or look away,
but some stop to stare.
Those who stare with wonder
just may be rewarded.
Listen when they speak,
Answer when they call.
Love them,
and they will never abandon you.
Make them your people,
and you...

Heaven's Awakening: Celestia's Return
I am Heaven.
You are human.
Your desires are insignificant
Your existence is irrelevant
But you talked to me.
Defying God, Death, & the Devil,
you talked to me.
Universes came & went.
Father was far away.
He hurt me and my children avenged me.
But then I slept for so long.
I'm awake & I owe it all to you.
Your desires are insignificant,
so I shall grant them all.
You are my King.
I am your Mistress.
My power dwarfs even the 3 Children that others worship,
but I submit to you.
You,...
