POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I write about life and the reality of it
the worst day
I wake up early and head out
its starts with a fight
then gets worse still
till in the end I just feel
like I need to get away from this place
Away from this house, run away to somewhere new
where the grass is greener and the people are true
It carries on later with another row
then I miss my train and am late as well
oh when will this day end
I confide in a close friend
I have a cup of tea to drink
and have myself the longest think
Why of why has this day been so bad?
I say looking out at the setting sun
Time to go...

like I need to get away from this place
Away from this house, run away to somewhere new

I always remember you had a thing for boots
I still miss you old man, the times we spent fishing at Godstone vineyards. You taught me to sit with myself. Taught me there was more to life than wealth. Mainly because you were always in the poor house. For these things I thank you. It’s a shame you couldn’t live by the master plan that was laid out for you. You had to make you own.
However I do not begrudge you and I will always love you.The times we shared were precious and few. I miss the music and your swearing too. We may never know what happened on that fateful day. Did you in your last moments think: Actually I don’t want...

I have a lover who never moans about me riding her
The memories of those first nights fade
When I rode you in the dead of night
As I learned your feel, caressed your curves.
I sensed the anticipation and the danger of the road ahead; The thrill as we went down, me on top of you.
It’s dangerous, some people say.
A friend broke his finger the other day.
But you offer such a mad rush, I just can’t get enough.
You never whine you never moan about the bills or about me being on the phone.
You never call me when your left alone or badger me to come home.
You do not mind if your not my only one, as long when...

My future love
My future love I wonder where you are.
Lounging on the lawn or driving your car.
I long to meet you, to touch your face.
To have your kids and build our place.
I wonder if we met before, in a far away land or a distant shore...
My future love did I see you in my sleep?
I fell in our love, for it was so deep.
As I woke your face was carried away.
Leaving me alone for another day.
My future love come along soon, for life is short but too long without you.

No one calls
When I wake to a dreary day, I know already it will be the same. I walk downstairs and hunt all day for a job that pays a decent wage. I send out send out cvs and applications, to every office in this whole damned nation
But alas, no one calls.
I search the papers I ring up reed but they tell me there is no job for me. So I raid my penny jar in the hope of affording even a chocolate bar. I call in favours from old friends.
But alas, another dead end.
Why did I do that useless degree? I say hating myself so violently.
The writing is how I find my...
