Words Exchanged
I cannot explain
How it is
That you have
Heard this voice
Among the din of life
Words exchanged
In the darkness
Soothe and encourage
A broken soul
Wanting too much
Wondering how I missed
Such a wonder before
Can there be a time
When we will share
That instant again
Changing a moment
With an experience
How it is

1,500 Miles
I’m right there
In those arms
Where I found
Solace and sanctuary
Each time I close
My eyes to sleep
Expressions I scrawl
Onto paper cannot capture
This emotional place
People far removed
From me
See behind the veil
Talking in hushed whispers
Questioning my emotional state
They say we’re supposed
To leave it at the door
When we are here
I left mine 1,500 miles away
In those arms
Where I found

Shadows of The Flesh
Tied out
Iwill take you
Alamb brought to the slaughter
Candlesguttering flame
Scentof sweat within the air
Thewolf hungers for that which
Hasbeen denied
Feelmy breath hot upon your
Skin
Moisttounge sliding
Overyour calf shivers run rampantly
Upyour spine
Callout to your God
Fortonight your sweet innocence
Will be lost
Tothe teeth at your pulsating throat
Howlsand screams will be lost
Inthe shadows of your flesh
Asyou writhe praying for escape
But
hunger is the only thing
Keepingyou...

Another night of incommunicado
I’m trying to keep it light
As silent shadows slip past the bulbs glare
Skulking just out of eye shot
Perfections flaw is
Life
Embroiled in our choices
We wish we could take back
Now that we know
Love

Now that you have
My soul
Hanging from your hand
A tattered marionette
I can only
Swing & sway
A mimicry of this
Lovers dance
Will you ever
Tire of this
Moment
Like a child loses
Interest in an old toy
I can't help
But wonder

More

Moths & Flames
Flicker to a flame
A death unnoticed
A heart crushed
A singular soul lost
Among the detritus of marriage, stability, and finances
Does it really mean that much
To stay within a loverless grasp of
Fear
The unknown
A simple beat of the wings
Remains
Holding us back
Leaving love as the carcass of a moth
Who flew all too close
To the heart
A death unnoticed
