In the dead of night my mind comes alive
dangling the past into my eyes
memory's carve away at my heart
imprinting the hate that will never part.
But then I see your face ,beacon of hope
saving me from the knife and the rope
pulling me into your sweet embrace
I sink deeper into my hiding place.
Slipping through my fingers, you become thin air.
