Happy Birthday
Another year to remind me of how old I am,
Another year to remind me of how lucky I am.
To wake up every day,
Breathing,
To be alive physically and in spirit.
Not many have the chance to live life how they wanted,
Some had theirs taken away from them,
Others, fear keeps them from living,
They're forever haunted.
Life takes unexpected twists and turns,
If it didn't, from the many mistakes we've made,
... how would we learn?
Birthdays only come once a year,
Be greatful , thankful, live and laugh as much as you...

Music: The Life Force of Us
The rhythm, runs through our veins;
Music has been alive for centuries, since our ancestors lived.
When the best hits us, we can’t help but dance;
Music is our energy, we’ll jump and prance.
The Africans dance, to the beat of the drums;
The music just flows through them, like water in a rush.
The Amerindians dance, and celebrate with nature;
The yell of the people, singing praises to their savior.
Music helps us socialize, when words have no meaning;
Persons only listen, when u can relate with what their feeling.

Anything can happen in just a few seconds.
Your life can be taken away just like that,
In the few seconds you're not looking at her-
silent tears roll down her face cause she's hurt,
In those few seconds where your anger got the best of you,
you could've comforted her instead of being distant,
Making her feel unwanted...
In a few seconds you could've lightened up her dark world,
In a few seconds you could've turned her frowns into smiles,
In those few seconds you're not there to protect her, guide her,
In a few seconds, instead of letting her...

Freedom
What does it mean to be free?
To be free is to not be in bondage,
To not be slaves of our minds, technology and to the world,
To be free is to be able to fight for my rights, for our rights,
To let justice be done by us,
To be free is to not be scorned or treated as less than i am,
less than we are.
We as people need to unite,
Brothers ans sisters,
Daughters and sons,
Together as a whole,
We are ONE!.
We may be of different religion or race,
But we bleed the same color,
Breathe in the same air,
Why...

You're the wind,
I'm the sea,
Together we make waves in perfect harmony.
We're from two different worlds,
Everything's complicated,
But we'll work it out together,
Keep the faith and hope we make it.
I'm the greatest creation,
to others of course...,
But without you i can't make waves,
You're an energy source.

BEAUTY in my DESPAIR
You’re at work,
It’s a normal thing,
The same routines over and over again,
A cycle…
The day’s pass by faster,
Yet time feels as if it’s not moving at all for you…
You’re just there…
Your friends are all married happily with their families,
You’re still alone.
You realize that you’re getting older….
You feel as if the world is on your shoulders,
You’re not getting any bolder,
You’re moving slower.
Then it hits you…,
Life, hits you…,
Reality hits you…,
You realize that you’ve got to seize your moments while...

Winter's Beauty
A flower in a garden,
Yet I feel so alone,
Surrounded by beauty,
Suffocating slowly,
Feeling as if I were a mistake.
Seasons are changing,
So am I gradually,
I enjoy the sun,
But I love the winter,
The cold atmosphere intertwines with my soul.
He came in, he saw me,
He took me up from this dreary place,
This creature who I fell for,
Something about him seemed elegant, romantic,
Yet, so strange.
He called me 'Winter's Beauty',
Said I was strong through the storms,
Listening to him...
Yet I feel so alone,
