POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Wax ( Free Verse )’23
A thousand eyes peering out.
In cherry red to pale pink streaks.
Against an emerald canopy that sways randomley to and fro.
Whilst the aluminum sky screams for the sunrise.
A lime green body, tagged with random markings.
The obnoxious spray paintings are hard to read.
The body moves like a cheap, rundown roller coaster.
Only way more painfully slow, like carrying laundry.
Blinded by the reflective light on silk.
Turning into a leaf bound satelite with no good channels.
For you have way too much time on your hands.
If you sit...

Spice Drop ‘23
Under the coriander colored skies
Just after the cilantro scented rains
No longer dreaming I realize
By my side, my love remains
( chorus )
You make my life delicious
I crave the capsaicin
Of your sweet kisses
Barefoot on the mustard colored land
Lavender upon the gentle breeze
With my love walking hand and hand
I sense such gentleness and peace
( chorus )
You make my life delicious
I crave the capsaicin
Of your sweet kisses
Just after the cilantro scented rains
No longer dreaming I realize

I crave the capsaicin

April Reigns ( Pantoum )’23
April reigns, it reigns supreme
In the fashion of fleeting monarchs
Right before the warm summer dream
Waiting for fireflies and their sparks
In the fashion of fleeting monarchs
Like bonfires in orange and black
Waiting for fireflies and their sparks
The lilacs, and gardenias take us back
Like bonfires in orange and black
The lilies, sneak out at night
The lilacs, and gardenias take us back
As the perennial vibrance, fills our sight
The lilies, sneak out at night

Death ‘23
The smell of cedar
From packed suits and clothes
Our eyes water
Not from the musty smell to our nose
( pre chorus )
Eventually we are made to realize
( chorus )
Nights and days are one in the same
As the sun loses its lustre of the flame
The beige and gray sunrise
Yes even death will close our eyes
The warmth of a candle
The armbands and dresses of black
We are gathered
To find strength in embraces for words we lack
( pre chorus )
Eventually we are made to realize

Blue As An Orchid ‘23
The purples edge the darkened blues
The white against the vibrant green
Such a sight for one to have seen
An explosion of colorful hues
The purples edge the darkened blues
( chorus )
Arranged in a pose
To the love that arose
Now I finally find
A world so sweet and kind
I’m as blue as an orchid…but I really don’t mind
Amongst the crimson and rust velvet petals
Let them fall where they may
Your radiance will light the way
Heartbeats race but my mind settles
Amongst the crimson and rust velvet petals
...
