Cliché
The thoughts that feel my mind,
Are ever so sublime.
All these things I want to show you,
Will only come in time.
It may seem nothing but a fallacy,
Or a simple fantasy.
But it's so much more to me.
You may not wear a glass slipper,
But you're a princess nonetheless.
Leave me feeling like a king with a simple caress.
Life isn't about time,
It's about the moments shared.
The two couldn't be compared.
I can seem so cliché,
But the way I am tends to be so passé.
I've seen the story book ending,
Today's thoughts and views are...

Crashing waves
The pressure in my gut, just want it to let up.
Whatever it is, it's just never enough.
You can feed it, and feed it..
Act like you don't need it.
I just can't seem to beat, the feeling down,
feeling like I'm gonna drowned.
Fighting back a constant frown.
Get me out of this town,
the city its defeating me,
These egos beating me,
To my senses.
I've built up all these defences,
taller than great walls,
Wishing they were fences.
Standing in the light, still worried about my shadow.
Gasping for air, even when its shallow.

Kintsukuroi
The most beautiful type of broken I have ever observed, she had pieced herself back together ever so conserved. You were like a fine vase shattered only to arise more exquisite than ever, like you had performed kintsukuroi on your own soul, a humbling endeavor. Your allure is timeless, like a siren on the rocks crooning out for a simple caress. I find it so easy to be adrift in your eyes, the hurt and joy, smiles and tears, the lows and highs. Maybe you have to have become broken to truly be beautiful, or maybe I've become delusional.

There was a time that you were truly the one.
Now those days are done.
I gave all of who I am to please you,
My love you seemed to misconstrue.
Now you've decided that I'm worthwhile,
you love the fact I'm always able to make you smile.
I understand how I make you feel,
The reasons you stick around.
The love I used to have for you was indeed profound.
But the hurt you dealt me was so real,
So fuck you Lucille...or was it Lucy?
These memories of you have left me daunted,
These memories of you have surely haunted..
My mind, remember that one...

I tend to be awfully volatile.
Some days I find it hard to smile.
These four walls quickly consume,
Like I've chosen this as my tomb.
When my days start to blur,
It's memories of you that I prefer.
To be adrift in my deliberation, searching for that same sensation,
It always leads to more frustration,
Followed by inebriation.
Three simple words, such an evil creation.

Last star.
The warmth goes unnoticed,
So burn brighter, energy refocused.
But whenever I'm away, you notice night from day.
Alas soon as I return attention goes away.
Eventually even the brightest of stars will burn out over time,
I feel like I'm wasting my prime.
This supernova has reached critical mass,
A black hole will soon come to pass.
Nothing was made to last.
