Sad Little Ghost Boy
Many will say a story such as this can not be true. I am insane...schizophrenic maybe? But I know what I saw that night. I remember the cold feeling going over my body, the despair. I was around the age of 17, maybe 16. I was completely sober, no self medicating that day. That means I could not sleep. Insomnia is a tricky little shit and it loves to play with me. Dam in my Mind
A plethora of waves is beating at the dam I have built inside my mind
It is inexorable and radiant, filled with memories I cant unwind
Faces and places repossessed by choices that I made
And emotions filled with promises I thought would never fade
I adamantly try to build my boat so that when the dam gives into the commotion
I can hover above the endless sea of my boundless emotions
Ill be stuck looking down at all my choices that I have made
Trying to surround me, drown me, make me go insane
And I fear that when this dam surrounding...

Chaos
Chaos entwines with the energy around me
Follows me, brushes against my skin as it screams sweet silences in my ear
Whispering things only I can hear
Does that make me its sole special someone or its victim
I reject its temptations now, push peace into my brain
I grasp onto something solid and choose as chaos churns
I turn the chaos away and reject the part that yearns
I turn as it silently slithers away
Still silently it comes and whispers sweet sounds into my head
Temptations I used to tend to tangling with my thoughts
Throwing...

Memories
Pale skin under black lace
Every inch of your body i trace
Silence except for our breath, matching the pace
Every emotion we embrace
I open my eyes and for a second I see you there
My fingers reach for your dark hair
But you're just a memory, I don't dare
I dare not move as I watch you there
Then slowly I watch you go away
Just a dream from yesterday
I get up, no words to say
Get my coffee and start my day
Every inch of your body i trace
Silence except for our breath, matching the pace

Running from love
Never promise me forever for forever never lasts
Never run to me while running from your past
I'm no superwoman I can't heal your broken heart
Mine will be protected from the very start
I've learned my lesson in love
I've been there when push turns to shove
I've watched an honest man lie
And a strong man cry
I've turned a good boy into a bad, bad man
And I've loved harder than most humans can
But through it all I've learned
Only love deeply when the love is returned
And my love is as deep as the ocean
Full of waves and...

United we could stand. But divided we fall.
Who are you when you know your identity doesnt exist
At least not in the American sense
Your clothes, car, job, and house can not define you
But tell that to your government and theyll confine you
A criminal you will be and thats all anyone will see
An outcast, a loser, a poster child for insanity
But really so many have lost their humanity
Its been consumed by the thirst for more
And I still search for a cure
Give us your hungry and your tired
As long as they get a job and not get fired
Fit into the cogs of their machine
Help make...
At least not in the American sense
