POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I write to a melody
I to you
I to you
oh specter sweet
i to you
whispered defeat
eye to you
and death I’d greet
oh specter sweet
i to you
whispered defeat
eye to you
and death I’d greet

Toss
A penny thrown to puddles can be taken back
A penny to the well never warrants the debt
A penny to the races is only worth the thrill
Two pennies rests the dead “In Nomeni Patri Et Fili...”
A stone thrown ‘cross puddles will hardly splash
A stone to the well drops the bag, drown the rats
A stone to the guilty, the first throw I’ll accept
A stone to the innocent, haven’t met one yet
A rope thrown to criers will tug but not grab
A rope thrown to silence won’t ever give it back
A rope to the guilty is too easy an escape
A rope to the beast is...

Red Maned Wolf
These bars I look through
and long my prey inviting.
This grass I cloak through
and plot my kill in hiding.
This calm I think through
and pounce its fear exciting.
This kill I thank you
Mother Gaia providing.

A Simple Intoxification
I wish to be a fish
and spend my life
avoiding ripples.
and spend my life
avoiding ripples.

Poetry Sucks
What a sea of heartfelt pleas
I see of which seems purely to be
The only language we’ve learned to speak
Perhaps I too wish to express
The overwhelming, seething hate of self
That I’ve felt since but kept on a shelf
It’s not laziness, oh no, I promise you
But just once I too wish to simply spew
Wrung out words, dry from overuse
Of razorblades, black, and orgasms
I scream yet no echo, even in the chasms
From where hath thy descended, surely not the heavens
I’m aware the ass I am to say
And color it all which...

Mr. Murphy's Lines Were Cut
A script forces details.
I prefer to leave my paint can on the edge of the table.
Whether I kick it or he kicks me, I can't anticipate it.
We fear the unknown, but I feel a sense of comfort in this unforeseeable outcome.
The hand on my shoulder can let go, entropy will suffice.
I’ll stop arguing, and wish you goodnight.

Girl (What Name?)
Girl (what name?)
I saw you,
Standing out from the flare
You caught on to me when I caught your glare
Skipping stones I stepped, feet bare
Autumn hair, I smelled the scent of you,
No smell of poison, dirty cleansed from my air
Blinding glare
A stare to a gaze
Head trip, in a daze
On knees- you deserve praise
Girl (what name?)
I’d fight for you,
I’d take a bullet, for you, a hostage saint.
With me you’re safe, from evil you know, and evil you ain’t.
Bloodstained, a skinned angel, your gift- wings and a halo
Speak to me...

Her Final Shade
Just one voice I hold, up against the choir
An admonition I sing to a hedon’s desire
See here is where she bled out in the foyer
And here is the spot where he told her he loved her
And here is the bottle of spirits from hell
And this is the spot where her spirit did spill
And there is the hall where the chandelier fell
And just past it all, his love he revealed
And this is where he held her, and softly wept
Never she’d remember, and never he’d forget
At the draw of her last breath, she saw his silhouette

Dim
A sunbeam on my winter snow melted 'way to mud
My soul is dim
Only what some call hell can make me glow
And only for a moment
My soul is dim
Only what some call hell can make me glow
And only for a moment

Lost to Sea
I’m raising waves and sweeping chords
to serenade my shores destroyed
to watch the waves’ falsely applaud
to pull the dead in with the tide.
A pirate scabbard of spoken word
holds my tongue back from the void
to spread my tired soul abroad
to bring the dead in with the tide.
to serenade my shores destroyed
to watch the waves’ falsely applaud
to pull the dead in with the tide.
A pirate scabbard of spoken word
holds my tongue back from the void
to spread my tired soul abroad
to bring the dead in with the tide.

Spearmint
ice takes shape of sand
in my deepest plunge I breathe
rocks flow from water

Under Full Moon
What turns a man to animal?
A mandible?
Expandable for hands to chew?
A bandage to contain the fluids?
Or is it words that do it to us?
