ASHES FALLING LIKE SNOWFLAKES
And once
Upon a merry Christmas
A tree adorned at midnight
With lights
Twinkling upon the tinsel
And gifts wrapped in bows beneath

Those memories fading from yesteryear
Voices of the departed that I hear
Are you dead or am I a Christmas ghost
Ashes falling like snowflakes with spirits I toast
Each Eve
One ornament is entombed
In a mistletoe graveyard
Decay
The memories in whiskey
Soaked nightmares gifted to me

I have walked this earth
On broken and bleeding feet
Pushed to pull you from the dirt
But with thy eyes you can't see
I speak to deaf ears
I reach to dead flesh
Placating with wasted breath
I taste poisoned air
I smell meat that's dead
Expelling my wasted breath
I bleed for you
But you won't weep for me

INFERNAL HEARTBREAK AND MORDANT TEARS
This Christmas chills
A cold fire in my bones
Her gasping words
Damn like an infernal song
On sodden leaves
I'm dying from this heartbreak

Invites me to the abyss

She comes to me like a promise steeped in poison
With muttered curses and screaming madness
In which she bewitched this lich bound for the ditch
In flames I burn, the envy of darkness
O Lamia, there's no salvation beneath the steeple
Verses of original sin

Drag me back to Hell again

It seems she's eclipsed by the storm-wrought anxiety
Fatalities and pure agony weighing on my soul, torn asunder

Bleed until there's nothing but dust
And decay and a memory
Like a half forgotten nightmare
Left to fade into obscurity
Holding onto you by the skin of my teeth
Marching to the beat of the anthem of defeat
Lost all pretense of self control
Dive a little deeper until I self implode
Cant get any sleep for the knives in my back
Constant vigilance keeps me ready for attack
Deliver me from deliverance
Salvation is wasted on one so carnivorous

Spirits around me at every turn
Sarcophagi await in the sands
Orchids arranged within to surely burn
The animalistic rituals
Held forever in canopic jars
Self-made god haunted and serial
Killing all endeavors in the dark
Cold to the touch

Bury the hatchet
