Every morning I wake and look in the mirror
Only to find a reflection that is not myself
Blackness drowns out my features showing me only a shadow

Pain is a feeling everyone endures
Through the mind and body it is pure
But only some pain has it's cures
Other pain can penetrate your mind with fear
Like a scalpel slicing the back of your ear
So that you can't see the wound in the mirror
Only the blood running down your neck in endless tears
Or if a loved one dies
And you sit in your room kicking yourself while you cry
Wishing that person was still alive
Til chains squeeze your heart and your veins run dry
