who are you
do you even know
the bruises the scars?
are you going to let that define your life?
is that who you wanna be
it's ok not to be you
hide behind a fake smile
live in a fantasy
it's just easier
but in the end you will always just

One breath
How can he sit there with such beauty
Alone in the night
Looking for crack dealers and their whores
Such a man should be here
Touching every inch of my body until I become undone
Instead he sits playing with his gun
I just lay here dreaming of hard thighs and beautiful knowing eyes
Teasing myself until I swear I can
Be with him in his cruiser
Ignoring the sounds coming out of his radio
Danger is right here
Me sitting on top of him naked
Dipping high and low
While he grabs my hair and sucks my neck ...
Alone in the night
Looking for crack dealers and their whores
Such a man should be here

I'd like to thank everyone here on the dup
This place has brought me peace
From the ones I've argued with to the ones I adore
I've taken something from each and everyone
Here I've placed pieces of my life I could never let out
So many tried getting in, and I wouldn't budge
Keeping it caged
I survived with it locked up
But knowing some of you have read pieces of my life that no one knows
Has made me feel relieved in a way
People can relate
And no one judges
Most understand and don't ostracize me because I'm not truly a poet

Reminiscing on my past
Feeling sorry for myself
Can't help it
It's just a burden I can't escape
One memory still brings it back
A good one too but hurts the same
I was talking to my brother from the other side of the door
He made me laugh
Mixed emotions hit quick
I felt odd
Frightened
Like I did something wrong
He sensed it
Put his fingers under the cracks for me to hold ...

Lucy
Lucy my favorite patient
She has my heart
With her wild red hair and a sweet toothy grin.
Murdered her kids she did
With some bleach and a bath tub
She claims it Wasn't her
That a black winged man with a halo on his head just took them into the night
The proof is there
Lucy committed her ultimate sin
Now she lives in a room with a bed and a single window
A roommate who is mute
Tells me stories of how she used to bathe her kids and read to them at night before bed
And How one time little tommy...

Ward. ( challenge)
Walking into work
It's a mad house
Some are in corners complaining
Others scaring up their own flesh
Nails filled with their own blood
Screaming echoes through every hall
Watching your back every shift
Everyday
Waiting for one to slip through the niceness crack
They get their freedom and bam
The entire staff is on task
Some laugh while they watch the scene unfold
Some cry afraid to be so bold
I pity them
And love them at the same time
Afraid of their thoughts
It seems like some can read my mind

True story. (humor challenge)
Here's a story you never heard before
My friend was having sex in the room next door
There was moaning and groaning
I was watching tv ignoring
Then a loud thump and silence came from the room
I thought damn they are already through
Quickie is ok, but damn all that moaning you'd think they'd last all damn day
When all of a sudden a naked man runs from the room
Screaming I fucked up, she's turning blue
I couldn't help but laugh his pecker was only an inch and a half
So I Poked my cigaret out and went to see what I could do ...

When your high do you see the grey smoke cloud
Hear the voices
Feel nothing
Stare at the tv wondering why the fuck did they make this
Everything seems clearer
Your ideas are bigger
Most' nothing but a joke
no worries just always fucking thirsty
Secretly wanting to smoke all your days away
Lay on your couch with snacks around
Analyze each show that plays
School, work, bills, life
Just fade into a puff of smoke every fucking day

Just straight play
No promises
Not a fear for the next day
Plans abandoned
Just make love on the roof of my car
With the moon and stars watching us
Kissing like its goodbye
Because it is goodbye

but she was also the one with no fight

Most family members dying of AID's
Never shed a tear for anyone
