POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Every poem of mine you read is a short film that's been played in my head; I don't claim to have the master's touch required to brush all the strokes accurately enough so that they may portray what truly goes on in there, but I'll try.

Not There Yet
I would like to stop caring so much,
About metrics, about time,
I would love to get rid, once and for all,
Of all these ifs and buts,
Of all of this, of what I've become,
I try to cheer up and not to dwell too far out,
Into the dark.
It's too late, I see it,
Then, it is too bright and I can't see it.
Two states of being, intertwined,
Wisdom and ignorance,
But only one thing desired to be known,
Something some people might foretell,
But I do not believe them,
A mistery, but one I can taste already:
It will be...

Counting (pt. 1)
You made me feel wanted (and wanting)
Although you called me a friend,
As I tried to make you mine,
Counting the years,
Years of wait, that they did seem,
But they were merely days of pale spring.
You had me chasing your name,
Summoning the thought of you,
As I tried to keep in touch,
Counting the months,
The gruesome months you went away,
But you left to, some day, return.
You kept me looking and waiting
When, finally, you did arrive,
As I tried to light a spark, ...
Although you called me a friend,
As I tried to make you mine,
Counting the years,
Years of wait, that they did seem,
But they were merely days of pale spring.

In Solitude
In solitude of the greatest dimension
When every person whose eyes know you,
Whose head they turn by their own will
To where you stand, to keep and usher,
But also to fulfill selfish desires, sleeps;
When heat is weakened by the darkness
Suddenly, when the windows are all shut
To trap the mellow warmth remaining,
But not to shun out laugher, which is gone;
When all your thoughts, an endless brooding,
Pinning you down, between sullen past
And...

Keen
I am keen on knowing you,
Everyday a little more,
With every coming tide, surely,
I am keen on you:
Ages ago I wanted you,
But how soon the levy broke.
The patience of a heart runs out,
But its longing, remains.
I remain keen on you, dear,
Thinking about you all these months,
When you are away,
Trying not to remember;
I am different now,
And I assume you are, too.
Seeing you is my reward,
The merit of my wait, the sight of you,
Beautiful and unfathomable, stark,
My triumph is time for you and...

The Only Thing I Know
I know, truly, love is holy.
I know out of love men can meet, overcome, and surpass the expectations,
Under its spell we can be all we dreamed of,
In someone's heart, I know, singing like a hymn, a prayer,
Someone must know these truths, some one must see their worth,
Love, only love, that is all that can be, the love so pure that needs no introduction
It needs no conclusion, either, love that makes you carry on and on, and on,
I know for so many, so much is too many, too many things to try and to see,
But try and see eternity, try to...

Untitled 1
Here we are,
After all those years,
Here we are, here we remain,
Trapped within ourselves, asleep,
Not really knowing what is to be known,
Not being shown the truth, the light, only shadows,
Here we are, nothing but shadows, casted on the wall,
At times we seek for deeper meaning, but we are lost within ourselves,
Everyone thinks they know something, and no one knows anything, nothing,
We are nothing, but still, maybe it can be, that we are all the same, we are seeing the same thing,
We are and remain the same, we see the same thing from...

Trials and Tries, Part One: The First Time
You entered my mind,
You came through my ears,
The thought of you was distant and afraid,
It spoke of times I thought had passed,
When I was young, and watched, aghast,
How, lovestruck, my whole world burned to ash,
When endless marshes and bogs and swamps,
Damped my head, my brain, my mind,
It spoke of those times at a time,
When I was no longer afraid, purely,
I was no longer afraid, knowingly,
I was no longer afraid,
But I feared receding back to fearing,
And so I feared impurely,
Without knowing I did so,
And so,...

Number 12
Oh,number twelve, number of magic,
Sing this waltz with me.
Come and listen the three quarters,
Come and listen the four bars,
What if the irrational can be explained?
What if you do have some divine cause?
Oh, number twelve, number of reason,
Do not sing another song,
Go away, away into oblivion,
Go away, away to outer space,
There are no explanations, only ignorance,
There's only chaos and strife.
Sing this waltz with me.
Come and listen the three quarters,

Drifter
A Drifter, drifting into space and time,
Wasting life, throwing minutes away,
Popping them up like candy,
Shooting them up deep inside,
Drifting away through the morning sickness and depression,
Drifting away during the noon and afternoon of ember skies, black clouds, and smoke,
It begins all too naturally, drifting the very moment you wake,
Drifting when she calls your name,
Then, drifting more, and forgetting you're here,
You're meat and bones after all, eat,
Drifter, drifting way too far,
Come back, and wear your spirit without masks,
But,...

Happiness
As you willingly do the things you ought to do, you unconsciously stop thinking about things you oughtn't do, and in this manner, what is right is not only done and thought, but felt. Happiness is to feel, think, and act the same, knowing that thus is the right way; It's the state of being which allows us to trust our hearts and minds, without the fear of being mistaken. It's the utmost degree of self realization, one in which you can live every day, without the need for waiting. Yes, a road, not a destination.

Mockery
I personally don't like self help books. But I don't mock them. I don't mock the people who read such books, nor those who write them. I actually think, that if I were to mock, I'd mock the mockers, but I'd mock the most mockable first: not those who mock ignorance while being knowledgable, but those who mock while being ignorant, those from whom so many, in their blatant unenlightment, go to the unthinkable ridicule of mocking wisdom. Did you know this is from one of those books? Didn't think so. But, by the way, it isn't. I don't read them, neither do I write them. I personally don't like...
