POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I don't really know how to write but I like to try. Some things might seem a bit extra and I hope you'll let me know. But is there really 'extra' in poetry?
Metro-Man
I once saw a mondo man on the metro,
A farmer with killer eyes :
So blue,
So bright,
So blunt,
Not once did he peek my way,
Perhaps it should be prefered that way,
A basket slumped between his knees,
His empty gaze glued to his apartment keys.

Not once did he peek my way,

Eye Lids
Most people think that he just has bigger eyes but the truth is that he has no eyelids,
Rumour is, he cut them off himself.
But even here, rumours are still just rumours.

Ultra Hedonics
Her eyes resembled crumbling chocolate when pierced by the streaks gifted by dawn's radiation. Melting and swelling into complete darkness.
Unable to deal with the cavities left behind, she travelled - trying to fill the hollow lacuna’s with people, places, experiences - but her eyes would not return. She had a sick yearning for aggressive cataracts.
She soon began to notice herself losing more than just her eyes; her teeth began growing loose like a battered wooden floor, plank by plank it was stripped and left empty. Their disappearance caused her to grow fangs,...

Feigned Growth
I’m so depleted.
A car battery,
Immaturity and lies,
Mature and wise,
Infertility,
Uncertainty,
Responsibility,
Why do adults drink tea?
The weight of the world so terrifically heavy,
I’m so crushed.

dodging & desperation
The terrifying reality suddenly launched at him,
He dodges and desperately clings to his fantasy,
Consisting of the never ending love that showers him through the eyes of strangers.

Mercury
A peculiar man he was, his hair white and skin the color of coal, a strange expression would always place itself upon his face. He was a nameless wizard who had suddenly found himself lost in the rapid undertones of the human world.
His magic spells began to fail him the longer he spent time there. An abra-ca-dabra would no longer work, instead, hard labour took its place. No longer could a bed appear out of thin air, therefore, the hard cold cement floors took its place. The wizard lost and alone could no longer be a wizard, his only means of survival was to become human. ...

Last Summer
Last Summer
I saw the world,
Clouded by sweetness and hurt,
I didn’t really know about death until I was five,
I didn't know about murder till later on in my life,
I didn't know vendettas and revenge,
I didn’t know life could just end,
I didn't know bullying till I was six,
I didn’t know people could be forced into sex,
I didn't know people could take joy in killing,
I didn't know that with every word can come meaning,
I didn’t know that society would drown me in insecurity,
I didn't know I would be ashamed to be a person,...

Underneath
Somewhere down beneath our world lives another universe,
It glows in colours nobody sees,
Except the citizens that learnt how not to breathe.
Somewhere deep down beneath is a city
That hid from us beasts.
It shines in colours that have not been found,
It shines so bright my heart stops to pound.
Somewhere under the sea is a place where we are a mystery,
Like a tree that grew without seeds,
Or like a crime story with no leads.
Somewhere underneath that stunning blue
Is a palace with maybe a king or two
That rule...

The Children of Yesterday
Halloween that time of year
When children go out at night lacking fear,
Their parents are happy and so are their kids,
Nothing that bothers and nothing that sits,
On the corner of the street,
A little boy with no longer a heartbeat sobs alone,
He’s weeping, looking at the brutal mess that laid beneath him,
The knife that touched his heart lay next to his scarred face,
Waiting to strike and taste the sweet blood again,
The sound of laughter invading his head ,
That sound of trick or treat made his vision go red,
He picks up the knife and...

Gem Still
Drops of rain come down like Sapphire beads,
Engulfing me in a layer of glowing water,
The wind comes along shaking me,
As if to warm me of the lightning flooding by my feet,
Under me lays Jade grass grabbing at my feet, aiming to submerge me.
Falling-I look up to the Crystal clouds crumbling above me,
A kingdom overridden with aimless souls and an vengeful king unable to prosper,
I am still whilst the world around me is turning the wrong way,
My heartbeat warns me,
My sweat alarms me,
My tears try to wake me from my lucid...

Picture
There was a picture right next to my door,
Painted with red and orange like anger was its creator,
It would watch me,
I would watch it,
At night it would stare like I was its next victim,
My picture always moved,
One day there ,
The next day through,
My picture had a face ,
It was twisted in hate and disgrace,
My picture had its flaws,
But it was beautiful with its cause,
My picture was a boy,
He held a knife and a crimson stained sword,
My picture he kept me safe,
My picture was my secret escape.
My picture hid my insanity away.
